| gleamer User Info... | ok here it goes. Is there anyone out there who wants to play bass, lead, drums or second rythm/vocals to a project doing all original indie-rock noncomercial songs. I'd like to sound somewhere around super furry animals, ben kweller, mercury rev, Drive like Jehu. something that can tap that wall of sound sonic youth theory, but also read into the simpicity of an elliot smith or a cat stevens song. I am 18, I look a bit older though. I play guitar and I can operate (in loose terms) keys, bass, and drums. I sing moderately well. I listen to alot of Marcy Playground, Modest mouse and Wilco. I live out in sidney. I play alot, I have played very little live but I really want to do so often. If any of this appeals to you or you have any questions plaease respond or e-mail me. | jrs User Info... | i am sure that we have similar musical tastes, like: blah, blah, etc. i am 21, i am all original, indie-rock and noncommercial! i play rhythym guitar(poorly) and sing and write songs. i listen to cat stevens and donovan these days far more often than the ole' sonic youth, but hell i am getting older. phil spector will now rot in prison it seems, so someone needs to keep the wall of sound going. oh and i am simple. the only conceivable place a band that follows aforementioned criteria would ever play is thursdays: therefore, i doesn't really matter how old you look, john always lets my obviously under-age bandmates in. i live in oak bay. i don't play alot, but have played alot live. my name is jesse scott. i have a band called shortpants romance. i have never "surfed a pipe dream for 28 years out of 36." this appeals to me maybe? i probably have friends that might be able to fill some of the other roles required. i smell sex and candy. you could e-mail me, if you'd like. - Tue, 4 Feb 2003 12:43am | ||
