| Tyler User Info... | how many musicians do you plan on finding? you do realize an ensemble isn't a specific size, it's just a term referring to a group of musicians. I don't expect you to be able to find everyone you're looking for on this site. try uvic even though most of the people interested in jazz are probably satisfied with the jazz orchestra. what style of jazz are you going for? I'm sort of interested in some sort of small bebop or hard bop ensemble but I don't really expect that to happen. or even some sort of acid jazz influenced project. just ideas though. you say hugh fraser directed you, what group was this with? - Sun, 18 Jun 2006 3:09pm | ||
| Nick User Info... | Hes conducted my high school jazz band for the last three or four years and has also done a bunch of work with my trio. I'm up for any kind of jazz. Bebop happens to be at the bottom of my favourite styles... but I still do enjoy from time to time. I love acid jazz though... infact I fiend it. I just want to play anything... most of my friends are leaving town and I just want to meet knew people to jam with and hopefully start a reputable band with. - Wed, 21 Jun 2006 9:18pm | ||

I've had lots of experience singing jazz music w/ rhythm section etc etc. But, yeah, if you don't need a singer that's fine. | Justin User Info... | I play guitar and am really interested in your project. E-mail: [email protected] I've got the chops. Have the band experience and know the theory. I also am less interested in comping bebop charts, but will do so if necessary. Right now I'm mostly just playing rock stuff, so I'd really like the opportunity to get back in an even flow of jazz, reimerse myself in that vein.
