| Mat User Info... | We are look'in to form a band. Got bass, got 1 guitar, need another guitar, drums, and vocals. My latest project was Element 7. I took a little time away from the music scene after that ended, but now I'm getting the itch again. I need that Live Show fix!! Know what I mean? The music I listen to are: System of a Down, Chevelle, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Tool, you know, mainstream metal shyte. And the local sounds that I enjoy are: Another Day Lived, Lythic Blue, Kincade, shyte like that. So, we are interested in adding to the metal sound Victoria has to offer. Not screamo, but still the ball crunching riffage that we like so much. Contact me by phone, cause I’m a lame ass that doesn’t have an e-mail, 472-7279. My name is Mat and I am the Bassist. I don’t give a rats ass how old you are as long as you can get into the bars and aren’t going into retirement. We like to practice loud and do have a Jam spot for at least another 4 months here. | Mat User Info... | Yes and Yes, Like I said this is a new thing, nothing is set in stone and I belive that everybody should have creative freedom in a band. I don't want to limit myself, or others, to too spacific a genre. I'm not the sole writer by any stretch of the means, nor am I a control freak. I would love to get people together that have a common goal, PLAYING MUSIC. I think it would be geat to get a punk singer, metal guitarist, and alternative drummer together and see what comes out of it. Having everybody's input, with such a variety of backgrounds would make playing more fun and challenging. Not to mention making an unique sound. The way I see it you can only get better by challenging yourself, know what I mean? So if you have an open mind to different styles of music then come on and gimme a call. ps. That said, I think that the style I play is closest to metal, though I do throw the occasional slap, funk and jazzy riffs into the mix now and then. . - Sun, 20 Mar 2005 6:23am | ||
