| STBP User Info... | This is a fantastic resource -- a juiced up version of a cork board at the music store. I've had good luck with it, joining up with three bands using LiveVic as the initial contact. Also had several jams I'd like to take back -- the trick is to pull the plug early when it's not working. | hijakt User Info... | Good to know the board works. To add to STBP's post, make sure you're posting what you're looking for in a musician, particularly age/experience. Saves everyone a lot of hassle. 'bassist wanted for metal band. must have pro gear' just doesn't cut it. Btw, is there any good reason Monday Magazine doesn't have a 'musicians wanted/available' in their classifieds section?? | STBP User Info... | It's there sometimes -- but not many will actually pay for that when you can post here for free, or at a music store. If there aren't any listings, the section just won't appear. Same goes for the You Pissed Me Off section -- when that's missing, I'm pissed! The musicians listing in the Georgia Straight is massive -- I wouldn't know where to start. What a nightmare it must be getting a jam together there, more so than here. - Sun, 13 Mar 2005 8:23pm | ||
