| Audiophil User Info... | Hey, I know this is most likely a futile effort seeing as theres not much room for blues in Victoria (sadly) and that most likely the potential blues players on this board are most likely working with Gavin (Dirty Mac) now, but hey, ill go for it anyway. I play guitar (rhythm, or lead depending on how good the future guitarists). Im looking ideally, for a 2nd guitar player (rhythm or lead), bass, vocals, pianist, and drums. However the chances of finding a young blues pianist in town arent too hot. As for the sound, id like to have some variety. Raw Chicago style, as seen on Eric Clapton's "From the Cradle" album. I'd also be interested in some more contemporary stuff like Colin James. SRV should most likely play an influential role in the bands sound too. Other names of interest.... Buddy Guy Robert Cray Johnny Lang John Mayer(he's got some decent chops when he plays blues!) Anyways, I'm not holding my breath on this one, but felt like it was worth giving it a shot anyways. | Dirtymac User Info... | I have yet to be contacted by Gavin, and my small reserve of talent is drying up. As previously stated, I will play rythym, (or lead, but you are probably better, so...), and crave the chicago sound. Drop me a line, plus I may know someone interested in bass/drums. | audiophil User Info... | Obviously I would lead the band. Im not going to let some wanna be two-bit hack run MY band!!!! :p Honestly I dont know, and its not even that important to me. Im not exactly the egotistic type so I dont mind who leads the band or if there even is a leader. However standard convention has the lead singer be the "leader". Either Or. My email has been buggered for a lil while and I cant read or respond to any emails for anotehr day or so. Sorry to those who havenet heard back from me yet. By the way, for anyone interested, David GoGo is playin Central Bar and Grille pretty soon. I know he's no SRV but hey for a local guy its not a bad blues gig.
