| Charlie Voodoo User Info... | Hi. Where to start. I AM: a trained female singer with a diverse and eclectic artistic background, a unique, jazzy voice and a love of music that incorporates electronic elements and crosses genres. Some of my favorite female vocalists are Bjork, Karen O and Joni Mitchell. I am a fan of Beck, Radiohead, Lamb, The Knife, Boards of Canada, Portishead, Basement Jaxx. I like lots of other stuff as well but I think those give you a good idea of the kind of sound I want to make. I have trained in bellydance and burlesque, spending a couple of years with the Cheesecake Burlesque under the name Charlie Voodoo. I have lots of costumes. I love being on stage - it makes me feel alive! I have a very straight day job and I am looking for somewhere to let my inner tigress roar. I am not expecting to make my living off music but Oh God would I love it if that happened. I play keyboards pretty well too but I'd prefer to focus on singing. I have some tracks online, but they are not really representative of what I want to do. I think "Funny That Way" shows my voice the best, and "I Made Today" shows you a bit of what I like and what I can do with my very limited music software skills. http://www.reverbnation.com/hatchling I'm nice. YOU ARE: a breaker of beats, a tweaker of knobs, a lover of all things electronic but also eclectic in your tastes. You like symphonic sounds and straight up rock and crazy Icelandic echoey music and all kinds of wild and wonderful stuff. Send me something that needs vocals? Maybe you are a bunch of people in one awesome electro-rock-darkwave-lightwave-weirdo-dance band and you are looking for a singer and show(wo)man just like me! (I can dream...) Or maybe you are someone or something I haven't even thought of yet. Ideas for collaboration are totally welcome! | Secondhand Habit User Info... | Haha, my band has some lineup changes going on right now and I've always wanted to have a female vocalist - I love male/female vocal harmonies. I'm not sure if our styles would mesh but check it out.
