| Rich User Info... | Ok here's the deal mofos. I'm a bassist who is looking for musicians to form a cover group. I'm into many styles of music especially funky sh*t like hip-hop(think Roots, Ozomatli,etc.), funk( James Brown of course), funk rock ( think Hendrix's Band of Gypsies album). I'm looking for people who can dedicate time to practicing 2 times a week. I want to get enough covers down and tight to be able to perform by late spring/early summer. I don't want to hear from any lollygaggers who just want to jam out. This is going to be a serious project with actual work involved, but in my opinion working on tunes is fun work. I'm 29 and I am looking for players around my age(23-32ish) who are mature and have some experience playing in a group. I'm into to doing original material later on after the group is established and played together for awhile. Bands and artists that I'm into and influenced by in no particular order: Jurassic 5, Rage Against the Machine, Hendrix, The Roots, The Police, The Beatles, Radiohead, Cake, Cream, Outkast, Jack Johnson, Digable Planets, Incubus, James Brown, Sly Stone, Tribe Called Quest, Doors, and on and on.........!!!!!!! - Thu, 27 Jan 2005 6:44pm | ||
