atrocity_exhibition User Info... | Hey there, We're an established Victoria-based band that is currently seeking a keyboard/synth player/knob&dial twister/laptop wizard. Previous knowledge and experience is not as important as attitude, commitment and personality. We also seek someone who is financially stable and has transportation. We rehearse several times a week, so ability to make at least 2 practices weekly is desirable. We have our own jam space which we can use as much as we want. You will need to learn some existing material, but focus will remain on writing new material, for which you will be encouraged to contribute (write your own parts) if you seek to be creatively involved. Ability and/or willingness to sing are considered a huge asset. We have most of the equipment you will need! We're setting up to release a recently recorded EP this fall, and 2012 will hold touring, full length album recording, and more in store. We play shows around the island with regularity and shows elsewhere (Vancouver, Seattle, etc.) infrequently. Our style draws from a wide range of influences, but if you like most of the following bands you should fit in fine: Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Nine Inch Nails, Crystal Castles, Postal Service, Broken Bells, Sleigh Bells, She Wants Revenge, David Bowie, Muse, Caribou, Silversun Pickups, Tokyo Police Club, Bauhaus, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, Stabbing Westward, Econoline Crush et al. Strong melodies based on guitar rock with synth trimmings, basically. Serious inquiries only, please. - Mon, 8 Aug 2011 5:13pm | ||
