Message Board > Seeking Musicians > industrial / dark ambient / noise act for January 22, 2005 |
moron User Info... | Howdy. I am putting on a gig on January 22 with Funerary Call and G42 from Vancouver along with griefer from Victoria and am looking to add an opening act I have not seen before (i.e. fresh blood). Appropriate genres for this event would include industrial (that does not include electro of any sort), dark and harsh ambient, noise and neo-classical type stuff. If you are doing something along these lines and would like to take part drop me a note with your phone number and perferably a link to example MP3s. Posters will be happening soon so please act quickly if interested. Cheers [email protected] http://industrial.org - Thu, 30 Dec 2004 3:01pm

Coleman User Info... | Hey, I think you might dig my band The Quail. It would definately fall under the Dark & Harsh Ambient catagory. Although we aren't anywhere near ready to perform, I mention this because I think us bands who are 'off the beaten path' (ie metal, punk, blues, etc) need to stick together if we ever want to develope our own scene. You can check out some samples at http://www.soundclick.com/thequail We could probably put together a 'Faux-DJ' kind of set with MAYBE some live guitar & vocals overtop, but I'm not sure that would do The Quail the justice it deserves. I could also definately do some sort of DJ/PA set of my own solo 'industrialish' stuff... http://www.soundclick.com/escapefromwherever Listen to the track 'Still-Beating Heart' as most of the other examples up on that page are undoubtedly far too poppy for what you're looking for. - Wed, 5 Jan 2005 10:46am
