can you play keyboards? how about some other random instrument along with keyboards(not at the same time mind you, this isn't some sort of street performer gimmick[no dirty street performers welcome[especially no peruvians}}). maybe you played clarinet in band class, or you play accordian, howsabout viola? anything really, as long as it is not guitar, bass, or drums, you know something different(oh, and no mandolins, we already have a mandolin). you don't have to be particularly great at either instrument, just adequate, although you will not be penalized for being good.look at your record collection, what is in it? why don't you tell me what you are listening to right now; me, the zombies, wilco-yhf, the microphones and the first moby grape album have been on a pretty steady rotation at my house lately, along with a playlist of modest mouse and will oldham songs(i'm getting back in touch with my not so distant past!)how does this all sound? are you still reading this nearing essay length post? do you in anyway meet these demanding requirements? e-mail me, you could join the short-pants romance! - Fri, 20 Sep 2002 1:47am
go go gorilla I'm listening to Julie Doiron's french album. Other recent acquisitions include: Roxy Music, Stephen Malkmus, Hot Hot Heat.

When I look at my record I seem to have disproportionate amounts of Bob Marley and The Clash. Also, my friends think I have way too much french music; I have to restrain myself when compiling songs for mix tapes.

I play lots of random instruments. - Wed, 16 Oct 2002 3:58pm

I'm also down with the bob and clash thing. I play the tenor samomophone (9 yrs) and right now my record player's hooked on Billy Bragg, Coltrane w/ Thenonius Monk, and The Ethiopians. I Love Mr. Bungle too. - Sat, 14 Dec 2002 9:58pm
