| Deliberator User Info... | Greetings music land, Drummer and guitarist with impeccable taste seek fellow musicians to wreak havoc with a new brand of surf metal. I play guitar in the inscrutable vein of a teeming flow of influences ranging from Parliament/Funkadelic, The Police, Mr. Bungle, and Jesus Lizard/Tomahawk to name a few. The fantabulous drummer loves everything from reggae to Zeppelin to Rush and a LOT of stuff in between. We're not the White Stripes. We need a bassist. If he/she can sing too--all the better. We love to play with a wacky keyboard player too. Again, vocal ability would be awesome. We need a vocalist--any outside instrumental ability would be a plus. | Deliberator Messages Posted: Guitar player and songwriter. I'm in my early thirties so my influences reflect that somewhat. New bands that I've been listening to include the Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down and most of the projects involving Mike Patton. I'm a big Radiohead fan and I love the Flaming Lips. I like good catchy songs but equally admire ambitious musicianship and arrangements. I'm always looking for like-minded people to play with. | Bassman, You're in the same age category we are. I also stopped playing in bands for about 6-7 years. Same thing with the drummer, though he's been more active recently. We're looking at developing some material, covers and otherwise and then doing some gigging.
