| mike User Info... | Alright here it is... I'm in a band... fairly new... nobody knows about us. I'm POSITIVE there's bands here in Vic who wanna play shows but just aren't connected. So here's the plan...frontmen/frontwomen of rock style bands SEND ME AN EMAIL!...between maybe 3-4 bands we'll do all we can to get a show for March...all ager, bar show, whatever...we'll do it! gimmie a shout! I will NOT ask whether you can bring in a big crowd or not...or whether your band's even any good... Doesn't matter. | mike of trickster User Info... | Sorry about the total lack of progress on this thread guys...I had a couple midterms this week and various other crap eatin up my time. HENCE, THE NOVEL BELOW So far the plan's lookin like this: Garry oak room, before i book it we need to discuss everyone's scheduling because i know some of you will have to miss it unless it's timed right, and that'd be a shame. Oh yea and the sharing of profit (assuming this gig makes a profit) goes without saying! Spencer of the burbs is tryin to swing a sweet deal on a saweeet system for this show...I'll let him give the details when he's good and ready. Black light district: You're welcome to join the bill...just understand that if there's too small a time for us to cram in all these bands it'll be last in first out. IN SUM: if I'm correct the bill so far is Hollydene, the burbs, blindeye, black light district, and me n the boys of trickster. The date will likely be the second weekend in april assuming our majority doesnt push for a sooner date. consider the time it takes for promoting a show...and then tell me cuz i have no idea. lol dont be scared to post and communicate with me and each other!! | Mike User Info... | Yeah, this all sounds good to us too. We would be glad to make up some posters and promote the hell out of it too. Starting pretty quick wouldn't hurt, maybe in the next week or two? As for scheduling we are pretty easy going. We have finals towards the end of April, but the second weekend should be clear. Finally, if anyone else is still up for a meeting, beers etc. We would be game. Not even so much for the technicalities, but just to meet the other bands like Mike was suggesting before. We could promote like crazy on uvic campus and I could go down to the campus radio station and ask them to promote it as well. We'd also be down for helping to make posters/handbills etc.. second week of april would be good for us too.
