| ThreeSchoonerProd User Info... | We've moved to a new venue so I thought it was time to post this call again! We're fast approaching our 12th show and have been performing since January in Victoria! We do a sketch comedy show at The Dinner Theatre on Douglas on the 3rd Friday of every month. We perform two 1 hour sets in which our musical guests has 2 songs to perform in each set. The format is very much like Saturday Night Live in that your songs will be performed between comedy sketches. We've had such acts as Antilles, Caroline Spence, Mike Demers, Saul, killingflaw and The Paper Cranes perform at our shows throughout the city and have had a lot of fun incorporating musical acts into our shows. Due to our new venue, however, we have to book acoustic acts as there is a business below us and noise is a factor. The doors open at 7:30 pm and we ask that the musical guests arrive anytime between 6:30 and 7 pm to set up. (If you want to get a bit of practise time, you would definitely want to be there by 6:30 so you can have yourself set up in time). You can play songs as the crowd enters, but we also have canned music if you want to save your stuff for the show. The show starts at 8, and our intermission runs from 9 to approx. 9:15. You can play during the intermission if you want, but I don't suggest it as people will be getting drinks and the like during that time and you'd go largely unnoticed. The second set ends at 10:15 and then we clean up and call it a night. Some key points: * You are welcome to sell merchandise at the front but you need to have someone man it. * There is minimal space for the band, but I have two spots where I think things could work out as far as staging goes. Little to no amplification is the catch-phrase here. * If we turn a profit, the band gets a percentage of the profits. We also will provide you with a DVD of your performance to use at your leisure (website, etc.) provided you indicate where the footage came from (i.e. courtesy of Three Schooner Productions, putting a caption indicating the date of The 30 Cent Players show you performed at and the venue listed). We basically just want to promote ourselves as well. * We put a link on both The 30 Cent Players (www.30centplayers.com *** CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION**) and Three Schooner Productions (www.threeschooner.com - under The 30 Cent Players subheading) websites. * We will promote you on our postering and media ads for that show (Monday Mag, Times Colonist, etc.) *You get 1 comp for a guest for each band member.
