Plus take on duties of a manager with a experienced culinary and management skills for 35 hour a week. Meh. Their looking for that young person to exploit, like bosses of just over 15 years ago. You take care of all aspects of my established restaurant and I'll be your boss and live off you for $17 a hour, whilst building my new home or pissing my time away when times are good. I’m sorry that’s just old rip off employers thinking/tactics of yesteryear . It’s not what can you do for me anymore? It’s here’s what I can do for you now ? I’m hoping that these folks are just miss informed and maybe a little bit unrealistic. All you’ll get at a low wage like that in this economy is a below average employ, most likely addicted and not real management material . And soon your restaurant will start going down hill, and then when the bust in the economy will happens ( and it will), you’ll be screwed . | Matteus User Info... | Case in point. Thanks XY. You're right XY, the bi-lingual is a kicker. Then 6-9 years AS a manager? If you're working in vic with that much experience, you must really love the place. You're responsible for the building, equipment, staff and potential lawsuits. You are the face they are going to see all the time, you are the reason that people will come back for. AND when shit hits the fan, who's left eatting it? You are accountable for all staff members and their actions... so there will be big ol' shit pies to eat at times. | dumpstermesh User Info... | Ya I think I'll keep my serving job where I go home with more than $17/hr for less stress. I'm lucky that I get medical/dental benefits too. I just looked at the rest of the listings on USEDVICTORIA jobs just for kicks and noticed that the same restaurant is looking for a cook (immediately) to start for $9/hr.
