I got curious, so I searched for Dayglo Abortions on YouTube and came upon...

According to 514films: Dayglo Abortions - Proud to be a Canadian
This is Proud to be a Canadian by Dayglo Abortions the last time there were in Montreal! I filmed the whole show though!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeett!
Thanks Griph, I'll throw in another gram of driveway hash to the "Get Griph Laid" fund.
Lame mosh pit though, someone should film the next Lucky Bar gig. - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 3:08pm

Chances are, someone has taped a majority of the Dayglo's gigs in town, I'd love to have some of that footage transfered to AVI/DivX (I'll even take the audio), but a lot of bands don't want the footage to get out. BTW: I'll take a copy of that Nirvana gig when they played at the Forge, or any Armoros (live or demo or CD), or that Black Flag gig (at the OAP), or any of the Dead Kennedies gigs, or... :) - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 4:40pm

I missed those gigs but I did see Mookie Blaylock open up for Alice In Chains at Harpo's in early 91, or was it 90, pretty sure it was 91, heavy substance abuse back then. The point I'm tryin to make here is that back then, no one had cameras. Especially that Nirvanna show. I hear tell only about 75 of Victoreia's finest alcoholics were in attendance, and the band was so broke they had to pan for spare change outside Douglas street Micky D's. Can't imagine too many rich brats there with $1500 camcorders .I'm afraid all we have are fuzzy memories and the right to say we were there.
Oh and Gruntruck-Harpos
Babes In Toyland-Harpos
Screaming Trees-Harpos
Pearl Jam-Harpos
Mudhoney-Icehouse
Pixies-Curlin club
Frank Black-various locations
or any Smalls gigs
These would all be great shows to see again! If yous got vid, send to Griph. - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 7:02pm Edited: Sun, 4 Jun 2006 7:14pm

Whoa, Cobain panning outside a McDix?!? :) Reason I asked about the Nirvana gig, someone here posted they had a copy of the concert, perhaps someone does (well other then the band), I dunno.

BTW: When your on YouTube, do a search for NoMeansNo, tons of live footage there (including the full gig from Los Angeles, CA on March 15th, 2001). I also figured out how to play Proud to be Canadian, that's so simple it's scary. - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 7:10pm Edited: Sun, 4 Jun 2006 7:14pm

I kinda lost interest in Nomeansno.
I wasn't as impressed with the last gig as I used to be.
Removal was totally cool opener though. - Sun, 4 Jun 2006 7:17pm

Hey I'm slow, plus I had no reason to learn how to play it, the song just got in my head and I had to figure out how it's played. That's how I've always figure out how to play stuff. - Mon, 5 Jun 2006 10:09pm Edited: Tue, 6 Jun 2006 4:32pm

I'm with trevor corey about Nomeansno though (not that he's saying that he'll never see them again). I decided to boycott their shows about 8 years ago, the sister of one of them deafened my left ear for a number of days. Boring story. Oddly enough they let my sister sing a part and made her night. But, it was the wrost show I'd ever attended. I still listen to them sometimes but will never see them live again.
thanks griphin, for cool links! - Wed, 7 Jun 2006 12:14am

NP about the links. You know I originally saw NoMeansNo during the YouKillMe tour at the Fernwood. That was so wierd seeing a mix of normal people/punks/hippies (there were 2 other bands there and I fergot who they were, I'm amazed I can even (sorta) remember that gig)). - Wed, 7 Jun 2006 11:28am Edited: Wed, 7 Jun 2006 11:29am
