King Tarkus User Info... | "were the hell ..better yet how did you come across this gem the laughin hurts ..ooowwwww RAD!!!!!!1" I don't know, I found it while browsing the forums on Harmony Central. Someone posted a thread saying the "gheyest" song ever is Europe's "The Final Countdown," and someone posted that link in reply. Let's go over what's wrong (funny), shall we? -The keyboardist is sloppy and the D note apparently doesn't work on his synthesizer. What is it anyways, a Casio? -The drummer fucks up the solo -The bassist is out of tune -The guitarist is out of tune too (watch the roadie reach over and tune his guitar for him.) He cocks up the guitar solo too. -The singer in general. Love how he tries to fit in the backing vocal. Apparently there was an audience (obviously not a big one). There's another video somewhere of them playing an original song at the same gig, and the crowd applauds them. I don't know where the other video is, but I can't sit through the whole thing. - Wed, 24 Aug 2005 8:29pm

King Tarkus User Info... | "Hahahaha, that is great. Tarkus, is The Price Is Right still around?" Yes, but not in the original formation. The timeline is a little sketchy: they started as a six-piece cover band at Claremont. I wasn't in the original band, but Scott Renton is my stepbrother, and I played a gig with them at the Ridge Playhouse as a guest guitarist on a couple of songs. Then I filled in on bass at a birthday party gig. They tried to get a couple more gigs last summer, again with me on bass, but they never happened, some people quit and the band effectively dissolved. Then earlier this year, Scott and I started writing some original stuff and recording demos of it. We started the Bars Project with Max Anderson on bass, Alex Denis on drums, and Chris Peterson (ex-Price is Right) on guitar. Only recently did Scott and I decide to go back to the old name The Price is Right. We have yet to gig in our current formation. We're taking a break from practicing because we temporarily don't have access to a drum kit. Once we get it back, we'll continue practicing and we'll try to start getting gigs. We have an entry in the bands section on LiveVictoria. And no, we're not playing "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" anymore, so don't ask. - Mon, 29 Aug 2005 11:13am
