x Buddy x User Info... | What the hell is this "emo" I keep hearing about ? - Sun, 19 Sep 2004 1:48am
bride_of_el_duce User Info... | Emotionally driven "punk". It's mostly kids in mesh hats singing about how girls never liked them in high school. If you are really that curious check out this site: "What the heck is emo anyway?" http://www.fourfa.com/ - Sun, 19 Sep 2004 9:36am
Natalie User Info... | haha emo, its conquoring highschools like the grunge movement did post nirvana. Best example is Brand New, dont bother checking out any of there songs. A lot of charachteristic "emo" whining. Usually people who listen to emo consider HIM to be a "really brutal metal band". Always makes me laugh. lol - Tue, 28 Sep 2004 10:15am
Brian VIHC User Info... | What is called emo these days is really just pop. The term gets thrown around so much it doesn't mean anything anymore, like calling a cop or a business student a "fascist" - usually they aren't a blackshirted goosestepping bookburner, but people call them that anyways regardless of applicability. Likewise the current definition of "emo" has nothing to do with what it meant ten years ago. - Wed, 29 Sep 2004 8:22am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | http://www.fourfa.com/fashion.htm You aren't tr00 without the 'emo fashion' how fucking stupid... - Wed, 29 Sep 2004 10:40am
Natalie User Info... | I wouldnt really say emo is "pop". I consider britney spears and the rest of that shit to be pop. It has very definite charachteristics and a few bands that adhere to them like nothing else. I think it pretty much appeals to angsty pre teens. Now theres all these BS kinds of emo, screamo for example. Who the hell thought up that term? At any rate, i hear my 14 year old sister calling anyone who shows emotion a "fucking emo", so i guess its sort of in style (though the music itself makes me gag it must have some sort of appeal) -to the younger ones anyway. - Wed, 29 Sep 2004 5:55pm
