| DAJ User Info... | Cops Initiate 'Homeless' Registry In Victoria David Arthur Johnston Victoria, BC- This morning, moments before the opening of Our Place, the main drop-in center in Victoria at Johnson and Douglas, police rolled up and started taking the names of everyone waiting for it to open. Approximately 20 to 30 people were there and it is unknown, at this time, if everyone cooperated or if the police just got whom they were hunting, if that was the case. They opened at 7:00 AM and police left before 7:30 AM. The police admitted that they were taking their own 'homeless survey'. It seems to be generally accepted that there has been a transgression on the part of the police, though the specifics of legalese has yet to be determined. - Wed, 14 Nov 2007 11:45am | ||
