Oh, shit son!

I'm a fan of that new place right by Quadra and Hillside. The pizza is a great price for the quality.
However, Sarpino's wins the cup for 5AM pizza needs. - Fri, 17 Nov 2006 9:49pm

Athena's wins for their BBQ pizza (no tomato sauce, just Bullseye!!). The bacon alone is worth it.
The only problem is their "policy":
'Our customers are very important to us, as important as water is to life. Please remember that nobody likes bad water.'
What the hell does that mean? If I complain, will I be banned? Are these the pizza nazis?
Panago is ok, but the crust is a little bland for me. Even the no-dairy cheese dip can't save it. Jalapeno white sauce and tropical sauce. Damn straight.
Ali Baba pesto slices...YES!
Always liked Cosmos too. The way they get the cheese over the crust and bake it just so makes it a good eat.
Pizza Hut's stuffed crust. A lot of people hate this stuff, but I like processed, overly salty mozza.
Villages have many interesting pizzas I'd like to try out. The Smokin' Joe slices are great! Smokies and cheddar? Fucking excellent. - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 2:10pm Edited: Sun, 19 Nov 2006 2:11pm

So if they fuck up your order (as they did to me once before), and you phone to complain about it, they'll bar you from ordering from them. I can see why they have that ominous warning on their menus and boxes...the guy who takes the orders barely speaks English and I have to explain the order to him at least three times to guarantee it is right when it gets here. They must have had a lot of bad experiences with irate, hungry people.
I tolerate it because of that wicked, tasty bacon. - Sun, 19 Nov 2006 8:52pm

Do not order pizza from San Remos. Repeat to yourself.

I used to work there (and everywhere else mentioned on this board) and I personally know of two of the cooks who have, 1: dropped crust on floor only to pick up and use anyways, 2: spit on crust and smear it around like sauce.

I know that one of those two doesn't work there anymore but one of them still does and that's still one too many.

I quit that place after hearing a cook brag about shit like that. I don't think there's a lot of hand washing going on there either. - Wed, 22 Nov 2006 2:19pm
