Should be interesting to see how they are going to prove impairment in any charges of this...
I am 100% against any impaired driving, its the same as walking around with a loaded weapon, whether you mean to harm someone or not.

However, before passing this to law there should be made a process of scientific evidence whereby the police need to PROVE impairment of this kind, not suspicion thereof acting as enough for grounds of criminal charges....

Once you're suspected of impaired driving, they can request a blood sample legally. If you refuse to give it, other charges can/will occur and they'll still get a writ to force you to give up the sample. - Fri, 10 Nov 2006 12:54pm

Nice attempt at a troll post, shit for brains. Explaining the law doesn't mean I love cops or even love the laws they're paid to protect. Try to troll someone who's actually going to repsond the way you expect. It's not my fault mommy and daddy hid you away in the basement for so many years you need to cry out for attention this way *rolleyes* - Fri, 10 Nov 2006 3:14pm

About Stephen Harpers stance on the matter, rather than as a matter of a safety issue- it's anything, but a matter- the rest of the parties who will follow, to convince the public the PM is a reckless man. Weed, pillz or Booze. I can already hear a few of the left-wing-public's outcry of his pro-police antics at securing votes and watching the rest go up in smoke for them. The consequences of some who drive while smoking weed, are a common concern to those who can't concentrate while being on the road, either way there's drivers out there who can't drive, even without substances in their systems.

Ideally, this gives people the notion that the streets will be safer, prevent accidents, and lessen the likely hood of accidents from happening. I think it gives the police the excuse to pull over anyone they think has 'crossed that line', pull you over, and fuck with you.

As people are supposed to drive in the manner in which they are supposed to- being many different factors as a result of illegal/prescribed/imbibed induced substances before getting behind the wheel of a car can attribute to causing an accident?
Being impared gives police the 'exceptional' policing power to make extra judgements against vehicles.
Alternately, this is good legislation that will probably surface on 'the floor', then by time it makes it's way to the table will mysteriously fall off 'the table' due to the amount of prescribed drugs many MP's use themselves at night to fall asleep, then drive to work in the morning. A whirlwind of clouds and sleep that sand seeps from the eyes of.... *yawn... - Fri, 10 Nov 2006 5:22pm Edited: Fri, 10 Nov 2006 5:27pm

Yeah this is problematic. I hope they test old fucking people who drive around to see if they are doped up on legal drugs/presicriptions. Stephen Harper is a fucking idiot. I hope he gets hit by a bus. - Fri, 10 Nov 2006 6:37pm Edited: Fri, 10 Nov 2006 6:37pm

No, I completely disagree, I think he's a Prime Minister, that has to constantly watch the Liberal based and biased press around him, and at all costs to saving the previous campaign from falling through the cracks. What the CONSERVATIVE PARTY'S had attempted and completed the impossible task of winning the last election and #1 most competing factor, once again, 'the impossible Left-wing press'.

Of course this juncture of raising awareness for M.A.D. as it was projected in the news above, is something that a large portion of the voters interests 'especially' in the field of being a police officer or family member of a lost one. (appreciate)

As far as what the party has been trying to out-run and shed the Left-wing press strategy of continually labelling the party in years ago washed away 'Grass Roots', thanking the Progessives, their Hyperboles, and anal-rententive antics of CONSERVATIVE PARTY yore.

Yet, there are still those who lean to this party out of the Christian Right-wing who try use and abuse the New CONSERVATIVE PARTY in making it a part of dogma of the past, that is why you'll hear about certain known Christian CONSERVATIVE candidates who are being (here we go again... without naming names in a different fracas; more 'dog words'..) "Muzzled".

Surrounding 'Harper' and the 'rest of the CONSERVATIVES'. I definitely don't agree, that Stephen Harper is a right-wing Christian or of the religious right.

I can tell it straight to your fuckin' faces that I've personally hung around with these people, and given the opportunity to go out for a night on the town with them.

From the 2 dimensional view that you get to see on the T.V. is a lot different than how people are in reality, to the constant droning of the news media outlets.

But beside all that, you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you this but?

And that the reality is here, that these people really know to party! (In style) FUCKING PARTY!!! - Sat, 11 Nov 2006 12:58pm Edited: Sat, 11 Nov 2006 12:59pm

That's coO!, on one of the other threads- I think it's apparent that this catch phrase is way overdone and canned.
