Mace User Info... | For all you people who didn't know that the Chinball Wizard/Carpet Munchin' Bill Passed by the Canadian Parliamentary Senate? (Most of you didn't know or don't care) But hey!!! First ask yourself... Am I sharing accomodations or have a roommate- That is only just your roommate and/or friend (you're living with) and there is nothing sexual between you(s) and you are currently living with or have been living with for more than a period of a 6 month time span (Whether you are collecting welfare recipients and/or members of law enforcement) {just ask Mofo}? Well, consider yourself(ves) and your roommates of (the 'Same-sex' that [According to the Police] other various bureaucratic andlegal references to 'Common Law Unions' apply. Guess what! You are a now commonly called by the Legislative Assembly of any Province and Federal level of Legal Standards- A.K.A.- 'The Law Society of Canada' and in your local Province to! 'A COMMON LAW COUPLE'!!! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! (FYIThis doesn't apply to me- as I have no roommates) http://www.equal-marriage.ca/ I Voted for the NDP in the past federal election, this disuades any notion of my being a Communist (as an admitted voter within the Democratic Society of A.K.A. "CANADA") as stated by either 'Mofo and Kyle.' That I am also a member of the Conservative Party. Only that I didn't vote Conservative in the last election, the reason being, because of current surrounding, legal circumstances. (Now and then) This vote come fall has little or no chance of being repealed or outvoted in the next coming parliamentary vote on -Same-sex-marriage. - Tue, 18 Jul 2006 11:54pm Edited: Tue, 18 Jul 2006 11:58pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | Ideally, they should define the gay marriage law properly. You know to make fair, fair. Really by the time I'm 70+ I hope I live in a society where people aren't still stuck in their judeo-christian mindsets of what sexuality and marriage entail. I think we should just banish marriage for anyone gay or straight. It's just a whole lot of horse shit in the first place. - Wed, 19 Jul 2006 2:38am Edited: Wed, 19 Jul 2006 2:40am

Perpetual_Burn User Info... | So if a guy and girl are roommates for an extended period of time, and they are NOT legally married, why would that apply to 2 dudes? Apparently most of the people I know that have roommates are legally married! I learned something today!!! - Wed, 19 Jul 2006 5:50pm

Then, you two carry file your tax return together; and reap the benefits!:? You wonder now, how much the kids in foster families, who lost their parents who CFDS have to find the kids; in order provide adoption services to those who don't have them. Kids don't grow on trees. I see it as another awesome step in my blossoming relationship... being old and haggard at 70 with my "life partner" nah, marriage can be a nice thing. - Tue, 25 Jul 2006 10:42am

x Buddy x User Info... | I don't think that we should get rid of marriage altogther but I also think that the government shouldn't be the one to define what it is . Your definition of marriage is exacly that , yours. Marriage is a religious institution and last time I checked Canada was a secular country . - Tue, 25 Jul 2006 6:46pm
jay brown User Info... | Marriage is a religious institution? That's weird cause I have been to a few weddings over the years and havent seen a single religious one yet. No priests, no churches, nothing like that.... doesnt sound very religious to me. Yup marriage can be a religious thing, but only if you want it to be. Now if the government isnt in control of it then who should be? I mean really so much about people being married affects the government, what with taxes, and medical, and all that. You think we should banish marriage for anyone gay or straight......... way to go there shoving your views down everyone elses throat. What about all the people out there that want to be married and really like the idea of marriage? As a matter of fact I am going to one of my oldest friends weddings in a couple of weeks. They make a great couple as boyfriend and girlfriend, and I am sure they will as husband and wife too. If it makes them feel good putting rings on each other's fingers and taking that extra step then that's a good enough reason for marriage to me right there. - Tue, 25 Jul 2006 9:11pm
