| Hendrix2Clapton User Info... | Colin Campbell (guy who decided on Berts fate) made a good call on the suspension lenght. The additional fine (while not bad in terms of a monetary value) is a total slap in the face however, I think that fine couldve been left out for sure. As for the hit, it was ridiculous and everyone knows that, bertuzzi included. Just dont lose sight of the fact that far worse incidents occur ALL THE TIME in the NHL and they dont recieve any attention compared to the Bert hit. (This was getting CNN coverage for crying out loud). Players like Brian "Career Crippler" Marchment and his notorious habit of knee-on-knee hits alone is worse then anything Bert did. The people who have watched bert play for years knows he's a genuinely good guy and not a repeat offender like many other NHL players who arent being repremanded at all. | METALNECK User Info... | LOL I have been reading this and I wonder how many of you actually know what happened? Did you watch the game or did you watch the highlights on CNN? I watched that game just like every other game, and I saw what happened before hand. Bertuzzi and Moore were pushing each other as Bertuzzi was trying to get him to fight, and then Moore turned around, while they were pushing each other, started skatiung away when Bertuzzi pnched him. So it is not like this was a complete surprise hit. Has anyone here mentioned why Bertuzzi hit Moore? Dont forget that Markus Naslund was out with a concussion only two weeks before this game after Moore cheaply hit him and left Naslund with cuts all over his face. The nucks are down 8 - 2 and colorado's coach plays Moore (which was one of the dumbest coaching plays I have ever seen) who is the number one hated player by the canucks. What did you guys think was going to happen, they were all going to hug and make up when they already lost the game? They need to purge their goaltenders and start anew. Maybe even give Auld a shot at starter for the playoffs. They have nothing to lose doing so. Cloutier will turn to dust as soon as the first playoff puck hits his pads...not like he hasn't been dust for most of the second half of the season.
