Teste Coils User Info... | I really was thinking of the RP50... How much would an expression pedal run for, for a cheap one to go with it? Dan Conner - Sat, 6 Dec 2003 6:44am

geetar playa User Info... | Boss makes a wicked pedal based tuner that mutes your signal while tuning onstage. Until I bought one, I wouldn't have thought I needed it, but now that i've been using it awhile I will never go back. You will never again force an audience to listen to you tune between songs and it raises the level of professionalism within your band tenfold. Who knew a pedal could do that? Costs about $125. Also, if you have some more money, Zoom makes a Ps-01 palmtop studio that is about the size of a pack of cigs and contains a drum machine, bass generator, a whole mess of guitar effects and amp/speaker modulations, and it records to smart media cards. Cost me about $400 but it is the coolest toy I've bought for my guitar in years and you can bring demos to your band and carry it around in your back pocket. - Sat, 6 Dec 2003 9:17am
[+} User Info... | the RP50 also has a tuner, just like the boss, it cuts the signal so you can tune quietly. that palmtudio sounds interesting... but i think i'd rather have a 4 track. aidan. ------------------------------------------------------------------ >> [email protected] >>> http://i-hate-ake-productions.tk - Sat, 6 Dec 2003 10:27am

Hoffa User Info... | A great first pedal to jack around with is a Wah. Unfortunately because most of the Dunlop/Hendrix/Crybaby models don't have true bi-pass they REALLY degrade your signal. Look for ones with true bi-pass like "The Real McCoy". They aren't so cheap but a suggestion nonetheless. For supageeks you can download schematics and make your own copies of even the most expensive pedals from Electro-Harmonix Qtrons to the much sought original Ibanez Tubescreamer O.D. lonemonk User Info... | MUTRON! Well... like Hoffa says, my preference is a good WAH. Using one takes a certain technique, but what doesn't. Recently, in lieu of a good wah we have been using an Envelope Filter, which can be almost made to be an Auto-wah. (Or Mutron-like in a small and cheesy fashion) - Tue, 9 Dec 2003 4:04pm
Dick Splint User Info... | Guyatone ST2 compressor. Couldn't live without it. Remarkable little green box. - Tue, 9 Dec 2003 8:29pm
Hoffa User Info... | Hey, since we're discussing pedals does anyone have opnions on what is the best Phase Shifter (Phaser)? Some say the Electro-Harmonix Small Stone. Some say nothing duplicates the Mutron Multiphase from the seventies (which is actually a cumbersome lummox of a box). Opinions? - Wed, 10 Dec 2003 3:51pm
