| Jason User Info... | I consider none so vile to be the 2nd best death metal album of all time. But give me a fuckin break, lord sperm is as cookie cutter cookie monster as it gets. You could rotate 10 DM singers of that time in to his spot and you couldnt tell the fuckin difference. Yes, Disalvo lacks some "fullness" here and there (translation:there are some weak moments), but all and all he is a far more creative musician than 90% of DM vocalists. Obviously some people equate favouring Lord Worm with being True metal. Is it because his voice doesnt go low or high just like most other vocalists who are NOT DM??? Does that constant grunting monotone ever get old??? | SentencedtoBurn User Info... | A) Disalvo's lyric placement and delivery rules, as does his stage presence. And if he is considered monotone, where does that leave Lord Sperm? No-no-tone? Cause I sure as hell hear little or no tone whatsoever in Lord Worm's voice, with the exception of the inhaling high pitch stuff (i.e. Crown of Horns, etc.) On the live bootlegs I have Disalvo hits those high pitched Worm screams in the old songs. B) I have sat down with the None So Vile and Blasphemy Made Flesh lyric booklets many, many times, and I'm convinved that Lord Worm is not saying anything at all. No eneunciation whatsoever, I can't tell what the fuck he's saying, if he's saying anything at all. C)Lord Worm: Yeah, he writes disturbingly good lyrics and has a great grasp of the English language. But lyrics about killing, murder and hatred of women are so passe. They have been done over and over again, and after a while they lose all relevance and shock appeal. D)Don't get me wrong, I do love some "cookie monsters". Corpsegrinder, David Vincent, buddy from Origin, etc. But if you're growling/screaming/gurgling for the sake of it, to me, that sucks. At least "sing" in a decipherable manner. E) Disalvo's lyrics are open to interpretation. As I said, lyrics about killing people get boring for me after about 10 seconds. AND, I have some bootlegs of Disalvo singing Worm's material (Whisper Supremacy tour 1998) and let me tell ya, he does all the old songs justice. He enunciates every word, and properly sings every vocal pattern. I highly doubt Lord Worm could do the same with Disalvo's material. I'm sure he could grunt his way through it, but you wouldn't hear a word he says. Flame on folks, but Disalvo fucking rules and that's all I've got to say about that. - Wed, 3 Dec 2003 8:36am | ||

My opinion, I think Cryptopsy sounds more crushing with worm, with disalvo it sounds less intense to me.. But, that is of course why theres that cryptopsy wall, one sides for worm, other disalvo... I guess everyone who starts liking bands after a certain vocalis or memeber leaves must only like the original or tr00 memeber?! BAh, fuck that shit, I am sooo shamfully one of the ones that started listening after None So Vile, and I liked Worm better from the start, plain and simple.
