Nik Olaz User Info... | http://www.earache.com/bands/deicide/mp3s/deicide_scars.mp3 god-damn i can't wait for this album. fuck Deicdie is finally back with full force! im peeing myself. - Tue, 25 Nov 2003 8:14pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Good shit, better then anything from them in a long, long time. Asheim has stepped it up 5 or 6 notches on the drums. *insert "if it's not Legion or Deicide it sucks dude" right here.* - Wed, 26 Nov 2003 12:03pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | i liked Serpents Of The Light. but In Torment In Hell blew. - Wed, 26 Nov 2003 6:26pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Agreed. I just find it humourous when metal fans always say things to the effect of "they use to be so rad, why can't they just make albums like the first one." For example the Cannibal Corpse debate (Barnes vs. Fisher), Morbid Angel (new stuff vs. old) Cryptopsy (Worm vs. Disalvo). I find that a lot of metal fans are afraid of progression, or are just to dumb to identify it. - Fri, 28 Nov 2003 5:21am
Chris User Info... | Actually new Morbid Angel HAS decomposed musically when compared to their first 3 releases. Now Morbid Angel has become a way for Trey to write 10 minute crappy songs on his keyboard..And David Vincent was definatly essential for MA. I'm all for "progression" in music, but recently a lot of bands that used to be really good have "progressed" into nu-metal or someother such thing ie. Metallica/slayer etc...There are ways of doing this well however (Emperor:Prometheus etc). - Fri, 28 Nov 2003 10:53am
Nik Olaz User Info... | yeah i never got why some bands like Metallica will just start out pretty good and just then progress into retardedly simple riffs. Then they're all like "oh you're just afraid of progression", actually no, you're just lazy and old now. yeah i can't even listen to the new Slayer stuff. But i don't hate them for it. - Fri, 28 Nov 2003 11:34am
Jesse User Info... | Man, the Deicide song w.o vocals is fucking killer! Good to hear. Doesn't come near to the masterpiece that is Vital Remains... - Fri, 28 Nov 2003 7:03pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Yeah ofcourse there are the exceptions. Metallica being the obvious one. I thought Covenant and Domination fucking ruled, but I'd have to agree that Trey Azagoth is one of the biggest guitar-masterbater-wankers ever. But in the case of Cryptopsy and Cannibal Corpse (2 of my fav bands ever) I get riled when people keep insisting that they keep making the same album over and over, and the "since Lord Worm (or Barnes in the case of C.C.) left, they suck" sentiments annoy me. Ofcourse, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I when hear/see/perceive elements of progression, others insist that such moves are actually digression. Weird. - Sat, 29 Nov 2003 8:52am
