Dopamine User Info... | Just looking for a little insight into the world of guitar pedals. I recently rented the DigiTech RP200, and am unsure about the sounds that it offers in terms of accuracy to what its trying to emulate. Then again, it may be something that I need to invest time into...any guitarists out there with any input would be much appreciated...cheers - Sun, 9 Nov 2003 9:27pm
Matt User Info... | it all depends on your budget and what you need so, what's ur budget, and what effects will you use? - Sun, 9 Nov 2003 9:39pm
The Mad Subwoofer User Info... | Avoid multi-fx units if at all possible. They are decent enough for giving a general idea of what differing FX can do but will _never_ sound as toneful as a dedicated stompbox; quantity, not quality if you will. You may find that with a couple of decent pedals, you can get just about everywhere you need to go. - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 2:01am
Neil User Info... | And every guitarist will tell you something different. Except me, I'm not helping at all. - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 2:25am
ML7Mike User Info... | Ive used a Digitech RP-12 for years.. It works.. 20mhz even.. thats like a 386 isnt it.. - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 7:30am
Matt User Info... | mad subwoofer is right...for the most part i find that digitech is the exception though i personally prefer stompboxes, and almost use them exclusively i do have a digitech XP100 (whammy/wah)in my rig that would be considered a multi effects box, and the thing fuckin rules! but anyways, i'd buy stompboxes if i were you the only reason you'd ever need a multi efects is if you want to save money, or you like having 75 watery reverbs and 40 flat sounding choruses - Mon, 10 Nov 2003 7:45am
