This was my first real project in a long time and the first time for me doing vocals in a front man position.So I would like to hear what you all think.The only way I can be better is if I know what people think.Thanks to all the guys that were Provoke The Gods or Pull The Pin. | Grimlord the stonedinater User Info... | The levels where recorded high so I could whisper and it would be loud in the headset.I am not a sound or mixing guy,and it was my first time recording vocals ever.I didn't rock the pantyhose ether,so there is a lot of hissing and popping coming from me... I was and still am not sure of what to look for in making it all come together in the levels department.But I know what sounds good .I am in no way able to do the simple things in sound management.I played the guitar for all my life and just never got into vocals that much but was always pushed in that direction.And loved to sing but I was more focused on guitar.So.. now as a vocalist....I really need some coaching for more precision and technique.And I would love to learn some basic recording skills ,It takes me so long just to find my way around a mixer board.If I could afford it I would learn it all. - Sun, 23 Aug 2009 11:41am | ||

Yup, that is exactly the way they were recorded. His clean vocals were of normal level but the cookies were very soft as you described and you couldn't get any volume out of it. But It's hard to get a hold of the guy who did it. um...yah it is. .I would like to get the wave files and remix it with a friend . I still have them atm, so you should come pick them up before I reformat my HDD. personally for me, when doing these vocals you should be belting them out. real loud like +10000000000000000000000000000 I've heard grim do the cookies at his practices and they sound loud enough but he didn't preform well at the recording sessions. It was his first time recording and I'm sure being under the microscope for the first time didn't help much. Having to do take after take of the same thing isn't exactly good for the ego. I've been in touch with the guy we recorded the song for and I'm waiting to hear back in regards to any changes he might want to make with the track. I'm betting it won't be much if anything. Also, I'm not sure yet what final format he will want the track to be in. If you don't have the space on your HD, I can come over with my portable and stick em on there.
