J. Peatman User Info... | A favorite sticky thread on other boards I've frequented, it would be cool if this was kept going! Post what you've been listening to today or this week at home, on the road or at work (or while loafing in a tent city). It might inspire others to pull that long forgotten classic from the rack, or check out unfamiliar names. I'll start: *DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA - Not to be undimensional conscious *AURA NOIR - Increased Damnation *TROUBLE - PSALM 9 *DISSECTION - The Somberlain *IN THE WOODS... - Heart of the Ages *SOLITUDE AETURNUS - Beyond the crimson horizon *GORGOROTH - Pentagram *MEXICAN POWER AUTHORITY - Haiku...Gesundheit - Wed, 24 Jun 2009 1:36am Edited: Sat, 17 Oct 2009 3:23pm
Bryan User Info... | Was listening to Haiku... Gesundheit the other day, MPA are so unfairly overlooked in the grand scheme of music. I've had pretty much the entire Black Flag discography in rotation lately, but especially My War and In My Head. Watched a live movie of them performing side two of the former to a crowd of bored looking punks in the UK who immediately start moshing as soon as they go into Nervous Breakdown or something. It makes me laugh. Also been getting down with: Shellac - At Action Park Conqueror - War Cult Supremacy Gride / Lycanthropy split 7'' (two amazing Czech grind bands) Napalm Death - Scum Man is the Bastard - Mancruel (and anything else by them, one of the most fascinating bands for me) Extreme Noise Terror - Holocaust In Your Head Anti-Cimex - The Records 1981-1986 Crossed Out - Discography (always) Half Japanese - Half Gentlemen Not Beasts Punch - Eyeless EP Burning Witch - Crippled Lucifer Currently taking in The Jazz Composers Orchestra album and it's fucking mind blowing so I'll throw that on here too. There's my namedropping for now. - Wed, 24 Jun 2009 1:36am Edited: Sun, 20 Sep 2009 4:58pm

canon.docre User Info... | Abandon - In Reality We Suffer .. crushing doom, late singer of retaliation. If you like slow heavy, this album is not to be missed. Dystopia - The Aftermath .. classic crust, great samples, the production might be a little dated for some but the songs speak for themselves. The singer does most of the vocals too! Blew my fucking mind when I found that out. Absu - S/T Back, and in fine form. A triumph in my books, and probably my favourite blackmetal band currently. Saw them at maryland deathfest, best band after Bolt Thrower. - Thu, 2 Jul 2009 7:13pm
