I've been saying that a lot of local bands are talented enough to make it over the last year, methinks a lot of bands don't know how to market themselves, or even have the time to market themselves, or are leary about making it bigtime. | Livevic Scott User Info... | As far as road work goes I think more local (victoria) bands are going out on the road and touring lately then anytime I can remember in the past while. Wouldn't it be cool if some dude who has worked with rock gods such as Ozzy, or bands like KISS and maybe most recently Chevelle liked your guys sound and wanted to work with you as well. | MonkeyWithNoBones User Info... | Theory of a Default! Ha ha ha. I'm not a big fan of the cynics, but nonetheless you've got to be happy for them. Unfortunate about the label though. Nickleback is the ugliest manifestation in music today. the epitomy of everything wrong with music. Why must the Canadian mainstream be so embaressing? | METALNECK User Info... | Hey, don't take me the wrong way. I have seen the armchair cynics a few times and I like them. They are pretty damn good radio friendly generic rock. I would offer my congratulations too, except that most record deals don't merrit a congrats, but more likely "Oh my God, I'm so sorry." They've been noticed so they must be doing something right. | _Griphin_ User Info... | Yeah, yeah, ok we're obviously gonna make comparisons to Armchair and Nickleback, but Theory of a Deadman apparently came out before Nickleback, and man there album is AWESOME! Invisible Man is one of the coolest tracks I've heard, it;s just a fun drunk tune, nuff said... And the only reason I like Theory is cause of the video for "Nothing Could Come Between Us", especially when the rig and the car wipe out all there amps, and the lead singer taps a piece of amp off his shoulder. | Dick Splint User Info... | The only thing cool about Theory of a Default is the lead singer's handlebar moustache. I'm all for rock stars with moustaches of any sort. If I were a rock star I'd alternate between the little Hitler moustache and the Tom Seleck full on comb it out moustache. In fact, if the Cynics want to sell more than five thousand albums they should all grow moustaches of various lengths and thickness.
