Gene Vachon User Info... | Sorry...just slides, beer bottles, lighters etc.If you mean "bow" instead of "ebow"...yeah, on my old boss Jeff Martins gibson in soundcheck a few times."ebow" wasn,t in the dictionary.Bows rock with distortion pedals, and flangers.Lots of fun experimenting. - Fri, 11 Jul 2003 1:57am
Gabri~hell User Info... | Mmmmm, EBow. I don't use one on my bass, but I sure would like to. I drool over the one in the case at L&M once in a while. - Fri, 11 Jul 2003 3:41am
Knoblin User Info... | Music is good. It soothes the savage beast. It helps plants grow. And if I could teach the world to sing in perfect harmony...ahhh...SLAYER! - Fri, 11 Jul 2003 3:42am
KnifeGhost User Info... | I _have_ played with an e-bow, but never in performance.... God in heaven, they are _so_ delicious..... - Fri, 11 Jul 2003 3:43am
V User Info... | i also have a question. what the fuck is an ebow? is there some joint in the human body i don't know about or what? - Thu, 31 Jul 2003 2:46pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | And e-bow is an electromagnetic dealy that makes strings vibrate at their resonant frequency for whatever note they're fretted on..... Therefore you have infinite sustain...... You get CRAZY harmonic out of the stuff, and the strings are vibrating like hell so the guitar feel seriously alive when you play it..... Delicious.... - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 2:35am
V User Info... | can you think of any song i could pull off the net that features one? they sound absolutely brilliant! does it clamp to your guitar or is it a hand-held thing? holy shit, i want to try one - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 11:10am

KnifeGhost User Info... | You wanna hear the sound of an e-bow, go no further than Heroes..... I don't know if that is done with an e-bow, but that's the sound.... A lot of Smashing Pumpkins has e-bow in it..... It's actually quite surprising how many songs it's been on....... - Mon, 4 Aug 2003 2:51am
Zippgunn User Info... | "Heroes" does not have e-bow on it; that's just Robert Fripp and his sustain pedal. The first song I ever heard that used an e-bow was "Fade Away and Radiate" by Blondie; Ford Pier uses one on most of the Veda Hille records (I rib him mercilessly about it). I find them clumsy to use and the fact that they only play one string at a time limits their usefullness. Try a Gizmotron instead (if you can find one, good luck) - Wed, 6 Aug 2003 2:56pm
