I can't really explain it but it would sound cooler if it were really crispy... I really can't explain it... you know, real jagged and sharp... think saws, knives, razors and needles. - Tue, 5 Sep 2006 8:11pm

Terrifying! I loved it! Particularly, Jeff, the 270? 290? bpm double kick programming near the end!!!

I'm with Lucius and HtDJ. It would really benefit from crisp production. Get the guitars really tight and badass, huge brutal drums. Right now most of the assault is lost in mud. - Wed, 6 Sep 2006 1:14am

well, considering i recorded it with a 10 watt guitar amp(some fucking weird brand, its gold though) with my bass distortion and a guitar with 3 strings and they arent guitar strings(only 1 is) and i down tuned it to B or somthing around there and i recored it on my computer from a tape deck on the very simple recording(i think its sound and it comes on all copys of windows) programme that comes on the computer, i cant make it sound that good

i am taking donations for a 4/8track and a real drum machine

also here is the drum programme i use

thanks Curmudgeon Rocker im glad you like it

now if only someone will start a band with me that sounds like this.... - Wed, 6 Sep 2006 7:56am Edited: Wed, 6 Sep 2006 8:04am

the vocals aren't to my liking and all the shortcuts taken in recording it all are pretty obvious. it might not seem very punk rock to put effort into the final product but it makes the difference between a noisy mess and an epic song. there are so many things that could fix this. proper mixing and recording so the entire audio spectrum is covered rather than what sounds like just the high end of the middle spectrum. work on your vocals so they sound like something other than a mumbling adolescent orc. you ask what we think, then get defensive of your limitations? I guess there is potential but of your influence list, I only really like melt banana and don't think you sound at all like them. - Mon, 11 Sep 2006 9:23pm Edited: Mon, 11 Sep 2006 9:23pm

well i wouldnt call it getting defensive, im just saying why it sounds like shit. and i cant sing what so ever the only reason why i did is cause no one else would. also, fuck production i could careless what its like, take Napalm death there first album sounds like shit, same with carcass and there genre making albums, im not saying my shitty sounding songs compare to them just that production means nothing.

also what shortcuts, i have no way of mixing or "producing" the final product or the guitar or drums, if i could i would and it would probably sound better.

also i never said that i sounded like melt banana, just that they were an influence.

im sorry if this is you think this is defensive im just responding to your oppinion and telling you what i think. - Mon, 11 Sep 2006 10:01pm

I came across too harsh. I'm trying to figure out how to word this. By production, I didn't mean tens of thousands of dollars of technology. I meant something more sophisticated than a tape deck and the program "sound recorder". Something to pick up the lows and highs, even if you don't want to mix it or anything. I like to think the next step is to buy a little mixer or interface and an XLR mic, then run the output to your sound card's input. Then just use that mic for everything... your vocals and your guitar or bass cab. Download some free multi track recording program. Cheap, modest, bare bones, but a lot more effective.

But then again I guess that doesn't matter to you.

I would like to hear this reproduced in a live setting though! - Mon, 11 Sep 2006 11:09pm Edited: Mon, 11 Sep 2006 11:09pm

Good stuff. You are right about production, though it could sound better. The songs need to be longer, and post lyrics. - Thu, 12 Oct 2006 3:29pm
