_Griphin_ User Info... | They played at the Forge a few weeks ago, but not for the fans, but for a bunch of suits. It's always bugged me that they never played for the fans. I understand they have to please the record people, but I always thought you start a band to play for the fans. Then again, I'm probably just ranting about this, and indeed I am! I'd love to see a Billy Talent gig, say, at Lucky Bar?!? - Wed, 21 Jun 2006 11:43am Edited: Wed, 21 Jun 2006 11:56am
trevor corey User Info... | Hey Phil how do u find out about this shit? - Wed, 21 Jun 2006 2:02pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I actually saw mention of the gig in Sunday's Times Colonist, it's wierd I remember seeing it, it was in the entertainment section (if I can remember), I should of grabbed it. - Wed, 21 Jun 2006 3:47pm
Yo Mama User Info... | They were in town to promote their record, not play a gig. It was a Zone contest where fans could go to a listening party with the band and hear the new album. - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 11:46am
trevor corey User Info... | Hey Phil, just noticing your avatar, did you get some "work" done? - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 12:09pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | See, I realize they have to promote the new album (which is avaliable in #altrock BTW), but it would of been nice if they could of played for the fans, not play the new record. Trevor Corey: Heh... I always liked that animated GIF - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 12:21pm Edited: Thu, 22 Jun 2006 12:22pm
Spinvis User Info... | umm yeah, he just said it was part of the zone contest for fans. Why didn't you sign up for th contest Giphin-fan? - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 1:39pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I was gonna rant about the fact that why couldn't the band play live for the fans, rather then playing a recording, but you don't see the point I was trying to make. It's sorta like seeing AWT at Logan's and hearing their new CD, we all would rather see the band live. I mean Billy Talent didn't even mention they would be back to play live. I betcha if you asked anyone who won the contest if they would rather see the band play live they would say yes. Gawd knows why I care, why do I?!? This heat sure tweaks me out, I swear I'm becoming a bitter old man. - Thu, 22 Jun 2006 2:19pm Edited: Thu, 22 Jun 2006 11:29pm
