| mudflap User Info... | Hi there, I'm looking for a good guitar intstructor in the Victoria area and would like to hear any recommendations that people might have. I'd love to learn some good basic skills and get into some better fingerpicking and other techniques when I get there. As for the kind of stuff I'd like to learn, definitely emotive, pretty, melodic/dissonant, moody guitar. I admire Sam Beam (Iron and Wine), Gillian Welch, Elliot Smith, Godspeed, etc. I've been playing and composing some stuff, but I have no idea how to read or write music, and end up forgetting half the stuff I come up with.
