_Griphin_ User Info... | When I was getting re-aquainted with my local demo collection, it had occured to me to ask what you thought were the best local demos released over the last 15+ years. So here goes my sad attempt at what ruled. Red Tide-Outta My Way Demo 83 This rules, nuff said. Left of Center-Hard Times Demo 93 I can never grow bored listening to this, I just wish I had a chance to see the band. They even cover Genetic Control's "Urban Cowboy" (which I also have the EP of). Severance-Demo 92 I used to work with Dave Hughes at one of the restaurant jobs I had, and he gave me both the Severance demos as well as Left of Center demo. I used to run into Dave quite a lot, but haven't seen him since the assault. Demonation-Demonation EP Awesome demo! DreadNaut-Deliverance Demo One of my favorite metal acts (I've only heard 1 song from Armoros). Jake who was in this band now plays punk in The Remanes, go figure. ;) Nuff said... - Sat, 19 Feb 2005 9:50am
csic User Info... | I will listen to anything, but one of my favorite local demo tapes was AK-47 first recording. I think I wore that tape out shouting along to Re-Education camp #9. I also really like the stuff that wrought Iron smile was putting out. I only ever got one of their discs but I was in awe of that band everytime I saw them. The SPOCK tape was also a good one. - Sat, 19 Feb 2005 4:19pm
