$TIM$ User Info... | Question.. do you think Green Day's American Idiot deserved it's Album of The Year award at this years grammy's? I think it was a decent choice, but for mainstream works that actually changed something in the music world, I could have also considered Velvet Revolver's Contraband album as a good choice. - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 1:42pm
Yo Mama User Info... | Just so you know...it didn't win Album of the Year, it won Rock Album of the Year. Ray Charles won Album of the Year. - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 2:02pm
The One After Two User Info... | Ray won every "XXX of the year" prize :-) - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 4:58pm
joannagoanna User Info... | i hate green day and like VR enough to go see them end of march, but ill admit green day is all the rage right now - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 5:08pm
Wig User Info... | grammy's ... who really cares grammy's is for people who don't listen to music they just buy it. doesn't mean it's good music. have you heard you can play 'wonder wall' by oasis and that new song by green day side by side. they are not exactly the same but the work very well together. i heard a dj on the FOX do it and now every time that green day song comes on i hear wonder wall. - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 5:15pm
Doppelganger User Info... | I thought U2 should have thanked "Holland, Dozier, Holland" for their Award. - Mon, 14 Feb 2005 9:54pm
Yo Mama User Info... | The Grammys are not based on sales. The Billboard Awards certainly are, but if the Grammy were, Usher would have won everything, including Album of the Year. Ray Charles won that, and his new albums sold dick. I kinda thought the Grammys were pretty good this year. - Tue, 15 Feb 2005 5:37am
Gagg User Info... | The only reason Ray won so many, is because of his death. Not to sound like an asshole, but death shouldn't make someones music more apt to winning. Dying doesnt make you a better song writer. - Tue, 15 Feb 2005 9:01am
Brendan User Info... | American Idiot = Worst album of the year. After hearing it twice, I can't listen to it any more. It's a piece of crap. - Tue, 15 Feb 2005 10:46am
dumpstermesh User Info... | It's funny though how dying makes people realize how talented or influential someone was. As for Greenday. I'm jaded since I used to see them play in basements back you know when and I've always liked them. It's cool to see that they haven't changed much due to their success, but it sucks that the shows will never be the same. Who here remembers Reid singing part of a song at the warehouse show? He was actually pretty good. - Tue, 15 Feb 2005 4:03pm
