Jesse The Malcontent User Info... | Admittedly I've got my favorites - but at the same time, the bands I were expecting to hit the printers never did in time to get on the shelves, so yes: Who came out with the best albums in town this year? - Tue, 4 Jan 2005 1:45am

Zippgunn User Info... | Hands down, for me it was the CD by Flatbed (from Nanaimo or Ladysmith, I forget which) called Born To Destroy. Pure noise guitar with a bass player who has 2 low E strings down the middle ("in case I break one"!), no stops between songs, recorded in a barn on a minidisc player. No vocals, just aggressive noise rock that defies you to take it off. - Wed, 5 Jan 2005 1:07pm

Lurker User Info... | The Flatbed recording is definitely intense. This band is awe-inspiring to see live, though I believe they've only played one show in the past couple of years (with Nautical Almanac at the Cambie in Nanaimo). The band is in fact from Nanaimo. That said, the best album of the year for me is definitely Holy Shiite by the Dayglos. Best thing they've released since Feed Us A Fetus for sure. - Thu, 6 Jan 2005 12:28am

Jaron Evil User Info... | hands down, DAYGLO ABORTIONS - Holy Shiite!!! I usually stick to metal mostly, but this album is how punk is SUPPOSED to be played!! best line ever from this album: "You might think we're a pack of cunts. What do you expect from a bunch of drunks!" \m/ - Sat, 8 Jan 2005 3:22pm
