new-wave dave User Info... | Hi y'all. The Poppies(open) played a show with The Ray Gun(2nd) & The Floor(headliner) on Thursday night. The two local bands played and then the "Headliner" from out of town went on and the crowd totally thinned out. I stayed for part of the set(& they were good & fit the bill) but I had to work @ 7:30AM the next day so I left before they were done. I guess it is just one of those things where after the show you realize that the out of town band did not have as much of a draw and should have played second? If/when you play other cities you havn't been what spot do you think is best? - Mon, 23 Aug 2004 1:07pm

jay brown User Info... | I always prefer to go in the middle slot. If its a bar show people are too drunk by the time the headliners play and if its an all ager kids are already leaving to catch the last bus home by the time the headliners play. Plus if the middle bands are good then everyone is all worn out by the time the last band comes on. - Mon, 23 Aug 2004 1:51pm
Kickback User Info... | Middle slots are best. Like Jay said in bars the crowd is pretty hammered by the end of the night. At all ages shows people seem to leave after the band that they are friends with plays. So if you're in the middle you usually end up with a consistant crowd. - Mon, 23 Aug 2004 7:59pm
