Austin [hates you] User Info... | Hey guys. Our demo is finally fucking finished and we posted a couple of tracks on this new fangled "Internets" I've been hearing so much about. Anyway, follow links to other places: http://www.myspace.com/noeulogy Coming soon: physical copies of said demo, drunken rants on how awful prisonplanet.com is, and board games. - Fri, 25 Jun 2010 5:13pm
Doc User Info... | I like these songs, but I think that the mix needs to be fixed up a little. The bass and the bass drum overpowered everything, I think that either they should be brought down, or everything else brought up. Other than that, I thought that they were quite good. ~Come here little girl and I'll show you my scar. Doc - Sat, 26 Jun 2010 10:19am
goff User Info... | i also like Bum sex if the bum is right!! and not TC - Sun, 27 Jun 2010 2:35am
goff User Info... | listening now!! sounds pretty damn good to me but i am dumb - Sun, 27 Jun 2010 2:37am
canon.docre User Info... | interesting, yeah I feel like its a bit bass heavy but I'm tired of thin sounding demos so here is the opposite effect. Do you have the bass turned up on your system at all? - Sun, 27 Jun 2010 10:48pm
Spinvis User Info... | Recording sounds great, I love the bass heavy sound, plz don't change it. - Mon, 28 Jun 2010 7:58am
canon.docre User Info... | nah we aren't changing anything, this is -done-. - Mon, 28 Jun 2010 12:00pm
steve User Info... | great songs! not gonna nit pick the mix cause its done but I really wouldnt have much to say anyways. other than there seems to be some kind of weird stereo eq thing on the cymbls? I imagine you guys are killer live.. - Mon, 28 Jun 2010 6:18pm Edited: Mon, 28 Jun 2010 6:18pm
Doc User Info... | Well, good songs. I think you're wrong not to change the mix, but, like Dad always said, "opinions are like assholes, everybody has one." canon.docre, my system is set to the metal EQ setting (I'm running a digital line out from my computer into my surround sound tuner). ~ So, this alien landed in my back yard and told me I should form a band. Any takers? Doc - Mon, 28 Jun 2010 7:14pm
steve User Info... | Doc, I kinda thought so as well... at first. LIsten again and turn it up. I would probably suggest a flat Eq.. .. Shit fuckin rips! steve - Tue, 29 Jun 2010 6:06pm Edited: Tue, 29 Jun 2010 6:06pm
Austin [hates you] User Info... | You guys rule. Thanks for the kind words. Doc, thanks for the feedback. I like the bass heavy sound, but it's always good to hear from people, and find out what people like/dislike. Thanks to everyone who's listened. I'll definitely post the next show we have. - Thu, 1 Jul 2010 10:00pm
Crux User Info... | EQ in winamp and the like is always a detriment to sound. Go flat and eq for each band but a general "metal" eq is probably just scooping out the mids from the entire mix and boost the highs and lows making everything too bass heavy and high end spiky. Also, keep in mind that this recording was done in a house(i think) so it's not going to sound like a pro record. I think it sounds good and compliments the bands style. - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 9:25am
Crux User Info... | also, clean vocals. sellout. - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 9:25am
steve User Info... | Also, not sure about "Cody Creepcore" and not knocking his work but I have a feeling that this isn't necessarily 'industry level' mastering and as such you will run into some anomalies on different system and especially if you start using a template Eq.. regardless... great tracks.. great passion and energy.. translates really well. - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 12:10pm Edited: Fri, 2 Jul 2010 12:10pm
Doc User Info... | You misunderstand my EQ a little. It's not a template EQ setting on my media player, that's flat EQ, it's the setting on my surround sound tuner that was set up by my AV guy who is both a very compitent sound man and a die hard metal head. ~Tequila for everyone! Doc - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 2:08pm
steve User Info... | Doc, I dont think I misunderstood anything. "(I'm running a digital line out from my computer into my surround sound tuner)." -doc .. is pretty self explanatory. I am sure you would be the first to admit that your system sounds pretty good and I would believe you. What I am curious about is how you find the mix when you revert the Eq on the Tuner to a flat eq. This could be a case of you over compensating for something that has already been over compensated for. " its a bit bass heavy but I'm tired of thin sounding demos so here is the opposite effect."...-canon Personally I have a growing distaste for most post source eq'ing. If the artist wanted you to hear it with more bass they would have arranged it like that. - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 4:47pm
Austin [hates you] User Info... | "also, clean vocals. sellout." Hair: frosted. Sunglasses: wraparound Flip Flops: Adidas Shorts: Cargo Shirt: Salmon Collar: Popped. Sick tats, brah. - Fri, 2 Jul 2010 11:56pm
Jason User Info... | If this mix was a gaping asshole, i'd surely fuck the shit out of it. - Jason - Thu, 22 Jul 2010 4:38pm
Crux User Info... | sick. fucking. tatties. - Fri, 23 Jul 2010 8:53am
