Perpetual_Burn User Info... | The Official Press as follows: House Of Blues Concerts Canada have announced that DIMMU BORGIR, with guests GOD FORBID and OTEP, will perform at Vancouver, BCs Commodore Ballroom on Monday, July 26th. The official press release reads: After last December's sold-out show at the Commodore Ballroom, Dimmu Borgir, God Forbid and Otep are taking time out of the Ozzfest Tour to perform a very special one-off show in Vancouver. Named after Iceland's Dimmuborgir region (a large area of unusually shaped lava fields east of Lake Mvatn, composed of various caves and rock formations) Dimmu Borgir is a melodic black metal band hailing from Norway. Shagrath, Silenoz and Tjodalv formed the band in 1993 while still in high school and shortly after, Brynjard Tristan joined to play bass and Stian Aarstad joined on keyboards. In 1994 Nuclear Blast Records signed the then graduated sextet and released their 1995 debut For All Tid. Following the success of their first album, Dimmu Borgir followed with 1996's Stormblast, 1997's Enthrone Darkness Triumphant and 1998's Godless Savage Garden, all while staying true to their black metal roots. 1999 saw the release of both Spiritual Black Dimensions and Sons of Satan Gather for Attack and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Alive In Torment followed in 2001. Their latest work, World Misanthropy was released on both CD and DVD in 2002. Haunting keyboard melodies, aggressive guitars, destructive drums, grim/raw vocals and a touch of melodic/operatic vocals characterize Dimmu Borgir's sound. While they are musically inspired by '80's black metal and heavy metal, Classic composers like Wagner and Dvorak also inspire them. Heavy Metal fans, make sure you don't miss this show. Catch Dimmu Borgir live at the Commodore Ballroom on Monday, July 26th with special guests God Forbid and Otep. Tickets : $30.00 (INCL. GST) + f.f. + s/c at all Ticketmaster outlets Charge By Phone 604-280-4444 or order on-line at http://www.ticketmaster.ca Tickets also available at Scrape TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY, JUNE 25TH @ 10am **Anyone who missed last December's show, or want's to see them I recommend checking it out! The Other Nick User Info... | Dimmu Borgir and OTEP, what in the unholy name of Lucifer is going on here. By Otep, they damn well better have meant, Emperotep, and just spelled Emperor wrong. SWEET SODOMIZED JESUS. I guess by tricking us and saying Otep, they actually mean emperor is reformed. seriously. Has anyone actually heard Otep? I saw some shitty video for some shitty song on Muchmusic. They do not belong at this show at all. Fuck, let Tard open for christsakes. - Fri, 25 Jun 2004 12:49pm

Sandor User Info... | FUCK ME!! First I can't see Maiden, now Dimmu Borgir!! Fucking peen-arse - Sat, 26 Jun 2004 9:56am
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Well, Dodsanger did mention 'hotep', so does that mean that the band is gonna feature 'bubba'? I sure hope so - to see the geriatric Bruce 'Elvis' Campbell hobbling onstage with a walker, in front of the band, would be a truly satisfying musical experience. Is that ginormously fatso Nick Barker still drumming with 'Dimmu-Burger'? - Sun, 27 Jun 2004 10:15am
Dr.DoomXXX User Info... | I heard he left the band on good terms over "creative differences". - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 7:11pm
