Demen Ted User Info... | Hey, Last weekend I made a couple GBB(with fingerboards)'s, using little plastic buckets, plywood, weedwhacker string, and lots of screws. Tons of fun to make, a blast to play, and I made them so you can slap them (I'm working on eventually building a stand up bass rip off out of a large washtub, but using guitar tuners and actually give it some substance) Yeah. tons of fun to make... If you've never made one, and want to make a super fun instrument that is easy as hell to play, make a gbb! Dan Conner - Wed, 26 May 2004 2:30pm | ||

demen ted User Info... | Alright... This site is really good for this stuff... the first site at http://www.ehhs.cmich.edu/~dhavlena/doodle-b.htm is a doodle bass... Actual string length as a stand up bass, so whatever you learn on here transfers directy over to a SUB. Another one is http://www.ehhs.cmich.edu/~dhavlena/bass.htm This is a more conventional one (big words). Its just a big metal tub with a weed whacker string going up into a piece of wood attached to the side, and you change the pitch by pulling the piece of wood back. Yep. Read up kiddies.
