Instrument of Karma User Info... | Not only are they at the Cambie Saturday night, but J. Shithead is doing a spoken word thingy at the Second Story Cafe from 6-8pm, and is promoting his new book, "I,Shithead." Sounds interesting. I've noticed NO POSTS as to these profoundly disturbing events, and cannot help but wonder if I am the only DOA fan on this board. Are you ALL too young to remember who these freaks are? (I know some of you aren't.) Is it that much more exciting to slam bands we don't like than to praise those that we do? - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 11:06am
BOHDAN User Info... | isn't it friday? - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 12:11pm
Livevic Scott User Info... | Check the shameless self promotion section ... there's a thread there - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 12:14pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Joey does the book thing Friday afternoon before the gig, then plays the Cambie Friday night. The only thing that disturbs me is the fact I can't find his book locally. :) - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 1:41pm
jay brown User Info... | Then D.O.A. and A.W.T. up in courtenay at the merville hall staurday night. Actually they're in nanaimo tonight with the Sweathogz as well. As for his book, I own it and it fucking rules. - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 1:59pm
Ty Stranglehold User Info... | Bolen Books has it. Jay's right it is excellent. I couldn't stop reading until it was done. - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 2:36pm
Instrument of Karma User Info... | BOHDAN: My apologies, it is on Friday. I guess I'm out of touch with my calender. I knew it was tommorow, but I thought today was friday. I have no landmarks since the saturday morning cartoon frenzy dried up. Sundays bombardment of christian programs generally lets me know that I missed the weekend. Thanks for the heads up. JAY: Merville? Are you fucking serious? - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 3:05pm
Dr.V User Info... | I saw D.O.A. back in the eighties opening for Iggy Pop at the Commodore, and no offence to Iggy fans but I thought D.O.A. were better! - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 4:13pm
Broccoli User Info... | but did DOA role around on broken glass? - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 7:34pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Bolen Books?!? Sigh, and I was in there last week too :( Yeah, perhaps I'll catch him doing the spoken word thingy and buy it there (if he's selling any copies). - Thu, 29 Jan 2004 11:53pm
Lurker User Info... | How fucking retarded would it be to do a spoken word show promoting your book and not be selling any copies. Good thinkin' there. - Fri, 30 Jan 2004 10:28am
_Griphin_ User Info... | I dunno, could happen (sorta like bands playing live and not selling any merchandise). - Fri, 30 Jan 2004 10:41am
