Is there a reason?

Ive just noticed most of the big all agers are on Friday nights, and being that I'm now working 99% of Fridays, this worries me.

There should be more on Saturday.

That is all. - Fri, 22 Apr 2005 12:36pm

They never used to be on friday's. For a long time it would usually be on Saturday and the odd friday. The reason is most likely simply Venue availability. I guess just through random chance, most halls are available on friday for now... who knows. - Fri, 22 Apr 2005 2:41pm

it's because the majority of kids won't usually come to shows on a wednesday or monday night. most of them have school in the morning. it just makes more sense to have them on friday or saturday. - Sat, 23 Apr 2005 1:24am

They aren't really... Bosevus seems to prefer friday, whilest Bruticus prefers saturday. This is just in the metal/rock/hardcore shows... But overall, they seem pretty much even, with Saturday having a couple more shows. - Sun, 24 Apr 2005 10:59pm

If you do your all ager at Big Fernwood on Fridays, I think they're happier because they have more people on staff already, whereas they have to add them on for Saturday shows.

But you know what show ISN'T on a Friday? This Saturday's mega fun party time with Crowned King, Kincaide, Theset, Accident Scene, and the Deadbeats. - Wed, 27 Apr 2005 10:44pm

Kaitie Sly has been honing her musical talents since the age of eight. One of the original students of the Lebeau-Petersen Productions music academy, she has the professional training required for a proper base to cover many musical genres.

Together with three other dedicated students, the young rock band, Scottish Fish was formed in 1996, where Kaitie covered the keyboards, flute and vocals for 6 years. It was gigging with this quartet that developed the performing abilities and stage leadership that she has today. Sly performed on the educational film: Kids Talk Diabetes, with the Scottish Fish, which won the Freddy Award in New York City in 2001.

In 2002, Kaitie was awarded the bass anchor position in the Vic High R&B Band. Under the tutorage of Eric Emde, she has learned about the hard work and dedication required to succeed in the music industry. Moreover, it was gigging with this band that allowed Miss Sly to sit in with the twelve piece showcase extravaganza, The Midnights.

Together with Aidan Knight, Kaitie helped formed the rock-pop band, Black Tie Social in 2003, where she played bass and sang back-up vocals. In 2005, Black Tie recorded an EP at Infinity Studios which helped them to play the Much Does Victoria gig in August, 2005, along-side bands like Kincaide, Kuba, Moka Only, and Current Swell.

Sly has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many great musical mentors namely Robbie King, April Gisleson, Steve Duban, Gene Hardy, Louise Rose, Anita Bonkowski, Connie Lebeau, Neils Petersen, Martha Reeves, The Swollen Members, Bill Johnson, Nick Blaskow, Rick May, Justin Hewitt, Paul Wainright, Ted Gowan, Al Hannigan, members of Jacksoul, KC Porter and many more.

In 2007, Kaitie created her own company, Steel Vibrations Inc. with which she does contract work in the music field, as well as in Visual Arts and Modelling.

Kaitie is currently implementing various projects with Steel Vibrations Inc. and playing with Mathew Christopher Davidson.
