Ok, I'll start it off with a movie my roommate rented lastnight...

Dare Devil.

What a piece of crap!! I've never read any of his comics so I guess I can't really compare, but regardless I thought the movie has horrible. Terrible acting, predicable, boring, I was fighting sleep throughout the movie. This is of course my honest opinion, but maybe someone out there enjoyed it. Haha, but of course Stan Lee made an apperence, he was behind Affleck on a street corner. Bottom Line = I'm just gald she paid for it and not me! - Tue, 23 Dec 2003 10:11am

about schmidt
miracle on 34th street
basquiat

synopsis?

amelie - cutest story of all time. a french girl (in her own shy world) lives to make other happy, and in turn, finds happiness herself. very interesting. one of the finest french films EVER.

the kid stays in the picture - the rise and fall of robert evans, the famous 60's producer. shows where the power actually rests in hollywood, and what hollywood is really all about.

about schmidt - jack nicholson stars in one of his greatest performances to date. the film is really just about life; at the end of this film all you can feel is young.

miracle on 34th street - watch the original or the 95 version with richard attenborough. set in new york, it's the story of a girl who doesn't believe in santa claus. do you?

basquiat - jean baptiste basquiat was one of the worlds geniuses, yet, more people know of andy warhol than him. the film is set around his time of discovery in a drug filled world and the beauty that he finds within it. - Tue, 23 Dec 2003 10:27am

LOTR The Return of the King. Damn ass good movie. Just after the ring is destroyed, leave the theatre. You have to sit through about 30 mins of crying, clapping, and more crying. It is like the dinner scenes at the end of harry potter movies except way too long. The 2 and a half hour war scene makes up for it though. - Wed, 24 Dec 2003 1:10pm

METALNECK is dead right, but dont go right after, leave after you see bilbo, after that its total worthless bad ending bullshit, but the rest of the movie was well fucking done.

And Peirce: See the movie anyway, the head of the nine is total metal \m/ - Wed, 24 Dec 2003 8:28pm

if you've read the fucking book you would know the ring was destroyed. I am still astounded that not everybody has read it yet. But I do agree about the end, I thought that it actually ended like three times before it really did. My friend brought up a good though, the ending is really a ending for three long movies. - Wed, 24 Dec 2003 8:43pm

GRRRR Arwen..she pisses me off. Hugely inflated role for a less than minor character. Fuck Liv Tyler.

The deformed orc in LOTR 3 reminded me of the big ugly guy from Goonies...and who was he anyway? He wasn't in the book. Ah, whatever...lots of shit wasn't in the book and vice versa.

Good movie though, but yes...leave once you see Bilbo. You're not missing anything. - Tue, 30 Dec 2003 5:45am
