| BBJones User Info... | that's been said like 100 times now in the last week... I've yet to see anything get fixed or anyone say anything about what they are doing to fix it... check this problem out... if I go to livevictoria.com (already logged in via cookies) all the topics are gone. So then I go to vanislemusic.com (already logged in) and the topics are all gone there as well. if I go to vanislemusic.com without being logged in, I can see all the topics, then log in while making my first post and then it all seems normal. how fucking stupid is that?! Oh, but watch out for some dumbass to jump in and defend the site by saying "go build your own" or "they do it for free so just appreciate what they give us" or some other dumb shit... - Wed, 22 Oct 2003 6:54pm | ||

| Livevic Scott User Info... | Due to some of you having problems and some not having problems its probably due to your settings in the browser you are using. Shaggy, I am free to bitch all I want when someone puts up services for people to use and has chosen to make it all up from scratch and continues to have basic coding problems. I can certainly appreciate the effort involved because that is what I do for a living. Why someone would ever want to think "outside the box" and make a fucking simple message board from scatch is beyond me. It's a waste of time and resources... but hey, maybe he is experimenting and learning, who the fuck knows and who the fuck cares. Every message board on the fucking planet is free. If they ask you pay, they get no one using it. Oh, and Ross Bay is the idiot. Get your facts straight! If you're tired of me bitching about it, don't read my posts. I've been trying to report problems with this site (since there are many) in hopes the damn thing will be stable and have useful features that are at least remotely consistent with the rest of the bloody internet. | Livevic Scott User Info... | Nev decided to code the message board himself for practice and to learn, as well if he decided he wanted to add any certain feature or do anything to it in the future he could even if such option didn't exist on one of the pre fab boards. It has its moments (up's and downs) however so does anything with a little DIY. | BBJones User Info... | Nev probably would have learned a shitload more using a pre-built package, since you get ALL the source code and can modify or customize every single aspect of the entire package. Scott, any idea if Nev is aware of this cross-domain issue? Oh and Shaggy, just in case you missed it, my point was that I didn't care why Nev chose to do what he did. And I'll continue to complain about shit that doesn't work as long as there is something that bugs me enough to make it worth complaining about.
