_Griphin_ User Info... | Well I was chatting with Tony the bartender at the Roadhouse, apparently you can get a last call at 2am on Sunday's now. Thought you might want to know about that, I'm impressed. - Sun, 19 Oct 2003 11:20pm
Brandon User Info... | uhhh the Roadhouse???? Wheres that? - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 2:30am
_Griphin_ User Info... | Clubhouse I meant (it's the bar inbetween BBJs and the main bar), but it seems all the bars are serving till 2 am. - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 6:29am
Brandon User Info... | Tony is one of the coolest bartenders in town, i've been buying my booze from him since I was a fresh 19 year old. Theres a couple of pricks that work in the clubhouse though, one works as a doorman/bartender and he doesnt know his shit. Downstairs they got some good people working too, Trevor hosted a bartending competition in sept, and hes pretty good with flames. Ask him for a flaming dr.pepper, its worth the 5.50 (give or take) Chris also works at the same bar in Legends as Trevor, pretty chill dudes they always work on Thursdays (the best night to go to Legends if ya ask me) 1.75$ drafts, 1.75$ highballs the only bad thing about it is the music. Its about time all these bars started opening till 2 on sundays, when oh when will they stay open till 4am???????/? - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 1:09pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Well I was told today that it's an experiment keeping bars open till 2am on Sunday, but I totally welcome the idea, especially since I work late Sunday night. That way, I'm not in any rush to make last call. Yeah Tony's a cool person, I know tons of people that work there. - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 3:05pm
jepsycho User Info... | I love BB's but the bouncers @ legends and the wicket are ficking idiots. Some friends and I where outside having a smoke and watched one the the monkey bartenders literally throw one of the regular 70 yrs old BB's patron from the sticket wicket door onto the road. The guy was literally airborne and landed right on his head. You could see the blood pouring down the sidewalk. When the cops came me and some other people that saw this happen spoke to the cop and said it was totally an abuse of power etc etc and the cop said that when buddy woke up in the morning he could charge the monkey bouncer if he wanted. But I couldn't really see the guy remembering anything he was pretty wasted and had a pretty nasty concussion I'm sure. I agree he was too drunk to be in the bar but violence was not necessay. They could have kindly escorted him out of the bar and into a cab. ASSHOLES - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 4:17pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | That's odd, I witnessed something similar. An older gentleman being evicted from BBJs, but in this case, it was totally his fault, he was causing major shit in the bar. I agree, in this case the bouncer shouldn't of done that, but I do believe the older gentleman hit him as well as a bartender I think. Apparently Sweetwaters Nightclub has city council approval to extend their hours to 2am Sundays as well. - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 5:15pm
Brandon User Info... | Evolution did the 2 am thing a while ago, and before that there was "the dinner" i think??? some kind of lame kareoke place people would go to after evo closed at 1??? Bouncers are there to protect staff and other patrons from unruly behavior. If you dont want to get fucked with dont be retarded at the bar, i have seen tons of old guys try to fight people 22ish. Sometiems the old guy gets fucked up sometimes the youg guys have the sense to back off. I am sure that the person who got thrown on his face did somethign pretty drastic inside to get tossed like that. Its fun to watch the bouncers control the young crowds though, heres a tip dont spit at the legends bouncers it really provokes them ahhahahhahhah. - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 6:13pm
matricide User Info... | Todd, Mike and Manny are the best. The shit they have to put up with is unreal, you don't see these same people day after day acting like the abusive fucks they are. How long can you take shit with a smile? - Mon, 20 Oct 2003 7:23pm
jepsycho User Info... | Many witnesses both inside and outside the bar agree that he did nothing to deserve to be assaulted. Most if the witnesses were 40something sober yuppies by the way (other than me of course). Those stickey wicket bouncers are always assholes, the only cool people are the bb's staff. And to clarify he was thrown out the cuckoos nest doors not bb's. - Wed, 22 Oct 2003 7:22pm
