Ike | How come no vocalists ever play the air guitar anymore? Like David Lee Roth and Roger Daltry. Now they stick their faces out and pout instead. "Oh, I'm so introspective and smart. I'm so smart that I'm depressed and introspective. I don't want to thrash around and dance coz I'm brooding and that would take away from my brooding. You are all so stupid, but keep buying my records stupid" And whats with all the rock dudes having big guts and really shitty hair these days? The gut's aren't that bad, but the hair..c'mon people, at least brush after pulling your head out of your ass. I saw a picture of Hot Hot Heat on the cover of Monday Mag with their hair all nice and teased and although I don't mind their "Bandages" song, you cannot deny that they look like a bunch of Warner Brother'd pussies. Now when I hear the song I see the picture and I laugh at the song. Just another part of the machine. - Thu, 21 Nov 2002 7:07pm

god | hey "ike". get out of your fucking garage and get a real job. HHH are the best band to come from victoria, hands down. it doesn't matter if you don't like the way the Heat look because you are no one. in the grand scheme of the world you are a Nobody. go to hell. - Fri, 22 Nov 2002 1:18pm
dave | Laugh away you goof! They are no longer "Victims of Victoria" and doing just great. As soon as Warner contacts my band and wants to put gel in my hair, I'm all for it. If Warner wants HHH to look and/or sound a certain way, fine with me. How else are they going to sell albums. It's not like they sold out - company gives you money to promote you, company gets to take pretty pictures of you. Who cares! They're from Victoria, they're progressing, getting airplay, I say good for them and hope they go right to the top. I don't know any band/person that hasn't worked hard to get where they are. Be happy for people that succeed you dink! - Fri, 22 Nov 2002 1:32pm
Anonymous | you`re sitting in your basement right now being part of the machine too - Fri, 22 Nov 2002 1:32pm
Ike | Hey God - nice reply. You're pretty brilliant. Actually, I do have a real job and a car in my garage, which doesn't leave much room for me. I do however spend a fair amount of time in my studio. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not jealous and I am very much a somebody. HHH have done great for themselves. They have walked the necessary path to get to where they are and do in fact create some fairly decent music. I also appreciate and honor the fact that their success has brought some outside attention to Victoria. Much of what they have done has been great and I don't doubt they have worked hard to get it. My intention isn't to try and smear them. I just think its sad when a band's appearance clearly suggests the influence of an Executive and a marketing team. And that suggestion does have an influence on my enjoyment of their music. There are artists who make it almost soley because of their talent and their willingness to pave their own road. They are few and far between, and to me their art is more enjoyable and relevant because it isn't defined by the mainstream marketing machine. But hey, if you want to go that road, then all the power to you. Your chances of making money are probably much better. Is it selling out? Your fucking rights it is. - Fri, 22 Nov 2002 2:18pm
Ike | One more thing. Telling a person to go to hell and calling them a "no one" on a message board, makes you look like a pouting pussy too. - Fri, 22 Nov 2002 3:07pm
