ticklefish User Info... | Anyone in town familiar with flashmobbing? Could be cool. Imagine if a couple hundred people all went down to the Inner Harbor in peak tourist season and started clucking like chickens at the same time. - Thu, 4 Sep 2003 5:48pm

ticklefish User Info... | Should be plenty of notice to give it time for the word to spread, at least a couple of weeks. Clucking like chickens, or walking up to a stranger and asking them "Can you tell me a good recipe for tuna casserole?" or some other bizarre activity, hmmmm... maybe we should put this up for tender.. suggestions for a good flash mob? For those who don't know what it is, it is basically a coordinated effort where a whole bunch of people show up at a common location and time and do something bizarre, it just has an amazing tendency to either unleash people's inhibitions (the people who don't know that they are being flashmobbed), or just plain makes everyone wonder what the hell is going on. - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 12:38am
pserah be User Info... | i'd like to see a few hundred people dressed like jesus walking around downtown on easter sunday. that would be priceless, - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 2:33am
rutabaga_lovejoy User Info... | I would be in for any strange activity. Last year a few friends and I dressed up in american tourist garb ( inc. cameras around the neck), and asked people stupid questions like " how do I get to the bridge for vancouver", and " so, where are the igoos at". It was a great time. I think the chicken idea rocks ass though. If only we could find a cuple thousand chicken costums. - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 4:47am
ticklefish User Info... | I think that wearing suits and ties and clucking like chickens would be even freakier than chicken costumes. It would have to be totally coordinated, though, like set to go off when the clocktower rings 1pm or something like that so that everyone starts clucking and strutting at exactly the same time. - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 11:45am
Zippgunn User Info... | I have a weird idea, instead of wasting our time "flashmobbing" why don't we all go to the polling booth at election time and vote for a party other than the Liberals, preferably all for the same one (Green, NDP, Rhino who cares). Now that would be a good prank. - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 1:16pm
ticklefish User Info... | word to Zippgunn. Get off yer lazy asses and quit whining about the gov't if you didn't vote. Turf 'em - Fri, 5 Sep 2003 1:42pm

KnifeGhost User Info... | Zippgunn: Why don't we do both? - Sat, 6 Sep 2003 1:28pm
Zippgunn User Info... | A great book that precedes this odd phenomenon is "The Lazlo Letters" by Don Novello (remember Father Guido Sarducci?). Don/Lazlo simply wrote A LOT of letters to Richard Nixon, McDonald's, Mr. Bubble etc. asking for weird things like jam on his Big Mac, or asking why Mr. Bubble's instructions said to keep it away from moisture. "How am I supposed to use it?" he asks. Hilarious if you can find it. - Sat, 6 Sep 2003 2:07pm
