| Gray User Info... | I've had many hair colors and I recomend Special Effects. It tends to fade to nicer tones than punky color and also fades much more slowly. I just don't know where to get it here. I'd recomend leaving any hair color in for much longer than recomened if you want it to be permanant. Also Fudge looks better than punky color but it tends to wash out way to quickly and leve you with faded hair. Another option for really extreame hiar is to get extensions done in wierd colors with synthetic hair. I however know next to nothing about how to do this. - Tue, 2 Sep 2003 5:43am | ||

| some girl... User Info... | I'm pretty sure that hair dye fades quicker/slower depending on what type of hair follicals (sp????) you have. Red will fade really quickly no matter what-- but I've found the new line of Feria works much better than any of the punky/Jerome/etc dyes. Instead of fading to 15 year old pan-handling pink, the Feria fades to lighter shades of red and eventually cinniman. I didn't even need to bleach my hair to get bright "Ruby Red" hair!! Aside from red, purple and blue you will not find _permanent_ punky colours: they'll all fade away to gross snot colours or Easter colours. Dave-->Get a wig!! It's cheaper and the colour doesn't fade!! My boyfriend paid for my latest haircut--> $48 (with tax) at Fish... I think I'll check out the Aveda students next time though.
