The Grim Reefer User Info... | I know quite a few non-asian people with oriental characters tattoed on their bodies. For instance my best friend Jay has "Truth"(or so he thinks) tattoed on his back in Japanese character. I always said to him and everyone else, "your not asian, so why you got that on your skin? For all you know it could say "Unoriginal white boy". Then my buddy stumbled apon this little artical. http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/toples...ttooartist.html Told you so mutherfucker. - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 1:49pm

V User Info... | Insert General Tsos Chicken Here! that is some funny shit. I never really understood why whiteys get asian letters inked on themselves but it sure seems to be the thing to do. that chick would never have had the odacity to have "beutiful goddess" written in english on her. - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 5:29pm
Brian VIHC User Info... | What's funny is that when two or more characters are combined they can have a totally different meaning than the individual characters, and they have them listed in tattoo books all over the place with just the single character meaning, so you've got all these dummies trying to combine them thinking they mean something they don't at all. I remember seeing a dude with my Japanese family crest tattooed on his arm and him trying to tell me it meant "freedom of speech". That story is you posted is obviously a joke anyways. It says "yellow"-something on her back, and the last part is just gibberish. - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 5:56pm

davescene User Info... | I LOVE that - I asked one restaurant why can't it be My Chicken, General Dave's, but they didn't think that was a good idea. I have 3 Chinese symbols tatooed on me. One is Rhythm (1985 as in music), the other two are No Fear (1991), correctly positioned one above the other. First one a biker did for me off Admirals - the other was Tattoo Zoo, I think (Wharf). And yes, they do mean that - got it from the library and my edgemukation. - Fri, 1 Aug 2003 9:24pm
DEATH User Info... | Hey V, I used to have that shirt on the dude in ure pic when I was 13 ahahhaha We all went and got stupid ones like that, my friend had one same style "**t sh*t" and the other "bl*w m*" ahaha, never thought Id see those shirts again... I'd like to see people get japanese tattoos myself, at least chinese have funky symbols, japanese symbols look more... schoolhouse so to speak, would have to look pretty sad. - Sat, 2 Aug 2003 7:42pm
V User Info... | hey Lou! took me a while to figure that one out but i knew your mug looked familiar. I went to that god awful hellhole Bayside with you for a while. we were in some technology class or some shit together. come to think of it, i think you were the security at lil fernwood when i played a show with this band 'mass hysteria'. let us never mention that performance again! how've you been? - Sun, 3 Aug 2003 12:50pm
some girl... User Info... | Hey everyone!! You all realize that there is no such thing as the "Chinese language" right?!?!?! One of my big pet peeves is when people don't agknowledge this. Chinese speak either mandarian or cantanese (yeah, my spelling sucks, but the majority of your's sucks too so shut up). I understand that when people want something in "Chinese" they mean "Chinese Characters" but that doesn't take away the fact that most people are too stupid to realize that there is no "Chinese language". I wonder how many people think that Koreans speak "Korean". (please tell me you know that "Korean" isn't a language!!) And there's no such thing as "Japanese letters" it's either Kanji (which Mandarian and Cananese use: you can still get oh so cool "Chinese Characters" but in Japanese!!) and then there's Hiragana and Katakana (Katakana is used for foreign words). Oh, re-reading this I just want to make sure that davescene doesn't think that I'm attacking him. I'm not. As stated above, I don't have a problem with people referring to "Chinese Characters"--I don't even know what the characters are called in Man/Cantanese. I just call them kanji since that's what the Japanese call them. I'm basically just ranting. Sorry. But please, if you're a cracker than don't get characters on you if you don't have some actual valid reason. - Wed, 6 Aug 2003 12:42pm
DEATH User Info... | Hey V, yes I did do security at a lil fernwood show a while back, I notice your handle is virgil, are you *hope I memember this right* Virgil Belknap??? If so yes man I remember yah, if not well hell shoot me your name! \m/ PS.Bayside definately liks mid school choad ahhaha :D - Wed, 6 Aug 2003 2:52pm

That's what I would call "japanese letters" only they represent sounds, as in collective letters, rather than singular letters like in English. So, learn your shit before you scold others about their ignorance. - Mon, 11 Aug 2003 7:00pm
some girl... User Info... | Japanese "letters" are called Romanji. Hiragana is for people who can't read kanji. Katakan is for foreign words. I know b/c I took 3 years of Japanese and got straight As. HAHAHAHAHA!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!! - Mon, 11 Aug 2003 7:22pm
V User Info... | yes and i see your shwartz is as big as mine! --- I can't believe you even spelled my name right. that's uncanny. i'll undoubtably see you at thursdays sometime logan's i mean. whatever - Mon, 11 Aug 2003 9:31pm
SentencedtoBurn User Info... | Hahaha those Oriental tatoos are one of my biggest pet peeves. If you're Oriental, then that symbol is justified, or even if you have any inkling of interest in Oriental cultures, that's cool too. Why don't idiots just get "I'm tough" tatooed in English on their arms? I guess their isn't enough room, what with their super cool ( and original, and oh so stylish) barbwire tatoo taking up all the space on their respective bodies'. - Tue, 12 Aug 2003 12:27pm
