ML7Mike User Info... | If you can track him down, Tattoo Tawd is pretty good.. he used to ink at Tattoo Zoo but moved to Langley to take over a shop there.. not sure where he is these days, someone here might know though.. If you like traditional, there's always the Dutchman.. - Sun, 29 Jun 2003 3:27pm

Criss Crass User Info... | Sacred Heart. Or the Dutchman but good luck at gettin an appointment with him on short notice. Or try Mum's tattoos in North Van - Sun, 29 Jun 2003 5:44pm
jay brown User Info... | The Dutchmans in new west, on the hill. I do believe Little Vinnies is out there too. Hands down the best over there is Dave Shore out in surrey, he's at the top of the hill when you come across the pattula bridge going into whalley. The guys work is unbelievable. There are a few good shops over there though. Sacred Heart does some great stuff too. Dave is the best though, nowadays he's better than the Dutchman I think. Whatever you do, dont go to.... I think it's called westcoast tattoos, Tom Lockhearts shop on Davie right off of granville. I got my first tattoo there, and I've had some friends who got work there. I'm not going to tell you the horror stories but it's something you'd see in bad movie. - Sun, 29 Jun 2003 6:14pm

matt t User Info... | Devils den I liked, jen did a good job with mine. Sucks they closed and disappeared. One of the guys from there is working at world class tattoos now. And all I hear about the dutchman now is how his work has really gone downhill over the last 5 years or so. - Sun, 29 Jun 2003 8:35pm

Mental Zoo User Info... | Funhouse on broadway. Art does outstanding work. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 6:43pm
wronskian User Info... | jeff did my other tattoos while he was at universal, and i was highly impressed by him. but i refuse to frequent urge, because of the disdainful way i was treated by an asshole (who shall remain nameless) when i went in there once with some piercing-related questions. - Mon, 30 Jun 2003 10:32pm
some girl... User Info... | That "person" may not be working there anymore. What was you question(s)? Just as in any job, people can be short with customers due to stress/being asked the same question over and over and over again by dozens of people. If you have ANY problems with Urge I know that Sparky would want to know. I say this because I'm his girlfriend. (which explains why I threw Urge in this thread, hee hee). I advise you to talk to him, or Graham (the owner of the piecing side). PS. Now you know what alias I am Dave!!! Heee hee! You also now know how bad of a speller I am! (I hope you know that I'm on this so much b/c I have nothing else to do at work). - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 12:50pm
RSBF User Info... | some girl, can i borrow that outfit? very cute ; ) hehehe . . . - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 1:09pm
some girl... User Info... | hee hee, if I actually had that outfit I guarentee you that I'd never take it off. Infact, I'd even shower and take baths wearing it (so that it could get washed). If only they made Sailor Moon outfits that fit girls who are older than 9! - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 1:40pm
RSBF User Info... | hmph! ; ) i'd go for that headpiece as well! tres chic ; ) - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 5:06pm

Holly User Info... | sparky did a custom tattoo for my mom a few years ago ( i bought it for her birthday, and Jeff has done two of mine and his ex did one and Virinda did another one I can't remember what that place was called though, it was off of cook street. - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 6:51pm
wronskian User Info... | okay, well that nameless person is graham. i was asking about jewelry gauges and when i mentioned that i was doing a piercing myself, he flipped out and started screaming about something about how i might be a rocket scientist but i sure as hell don't know shit about piercing unless i've apprenticed somewhere and blah blah blah, basically embarassing me in front of everyone in there. and then he called me a stupid bitch and told me to get the fuck out of his store. i can understand his reservations about untrained people doing piercings . . . but he didn't know anything about me, so he was really coming out of nowhere with all his assumptions. and if he doesn't want people piercing themselves, he could have just said "i'm not going to sell you the jewelry" and i would have respected that. but i don't take kindly to some egotistical bastard of a complete stranger chewing me out. so i think it's understandable that i am loathe to even set foot in that place again. if i'm going to spend money to have permanent work done in my body, i'm not going to do it in a place that is synonomous (in my mind) with complete disrespect. - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 9:50pm
Sewn Flesh User Info... | i'm surprised nobody has mentioned Rob Hope at the dutchman... hands down best style i've seen around.. - Wed, 2 Jul 2003 9:54pm
some girl... User Info... | Hmmm, I always get humilited when I tell hairdressers that I cut and dye my own hair. I deserve that though, since there's some things that you just don't tell people b/c it will offend them. I don't think that I can analyis (sp) your sitution since I don't know what kind of tone you used when you asked your questions, nor can I speak on Graham's behalf. So, with that said, have a good day!! - Fri, 4 Jul 2003 2:19pm
helen von trumpkin User Info... | i like graham..infact I like all the guys at urge. graham did a peircing on me once. - Fri, 4 Jul 2003 2:48pm
wronskian User Info... | well, he asked me nicely enough if i was looking for anything in particular and i told him i wanted a barbell for my hood. he asked what gauge, and i said 14. he asked if i was going to get it pierced at urge, and i told him no. then he asked where i was getting it done, so i told him i was doing it myself. his ranting ensued. i was using a polite tone of voice. in fact, i didn't say one word after he started yelling at me. i just left after he told me to do so in his less-than-respectful way. i have nothing bad to say about his piercing skills and knowledge because i've heard good things about him in that area, but there was absolutely no reason for him to go off on me the way he did so i'm not a big fan of his. - Sun, 6 Jul 2003 1:22am
JJ User Info... | I dont recommend piercing yourself unless you are trained. Ive pierced myself a few times but I've since heard some pretty harsh stories. That is probably why Graham spazzed on you. - Sun, 6 Jul 2003 4:14am
matt t User Info... | best piercer in vancouver (if you are looking at the trendy ass shops like urge etc around downtown) is bear at first on granville easily. - Sun, 6 Jul 2003 1:11pm
wronskian User Info... | i've done about 20 piercings on myself, and they all went smoothly and healed just fine. and if graham had let me get a few words in before he made the automatic assumption that i'm a fool who doesn't know what i'm doing and started reaming me out, i would have told him this. - Sun, 6 Jul 2003 5:41pm
